To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
Okay, why did I wait so long to read this book? I LOVED this book so much. I listened to the audiobook while I was on a long drive, and the book kept me hooked the entire 8 plus hours. I was so addicted to this book! I passed up stopping to eat food while on the drive because I just had to know what was going to happen next! I hated pausing the audiobook, because I was just that invested in this book.
This book had an adorable romance, a bit of mystery, and a great family focused storyline. I loved the family dynamic in this book. This book showed how important family is, and I thought that was really refreshing for a YA book. I came to care for the family members a lot.
My favorite character of this book was the main character, Lara Jean. I thought she was awkward and adorable. I related to her a lot, and I often found myself thinking the same exact thing that she was. Sometimes Lara Jean would say things and I would be thinking "Yes! Exactly!". I also really adored Peter in this book. I thought his character was well written and extremely swoon worthy.
Jenny Han's writing was impeccable in this book. I could not find a single flaw with this book. I wish I would have read this book sooner! I honestly can't stop thinking about this book. EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK.
