Blood Law (Blood Moon Rising Trilogy #1) by Karin Tabke

Falon Corbet is almost malnourished. She is an orphan who has been living on her own for a while now. She ran away from her last home and she never stays in a place for too long. She has some episodes of rage that she can't explain which makes it hard to keep a job. When she goes into a convenience store to steal food she meets a man, who calls himself a slayer and wants her to join him. She tries to fight him but he is stronger than her. Then her life becomes even weirder when another man comes in and after an epic fight with swords kills the man who hurt her. The man who saves her is Rafael Vulkasin. He is an alpha Lycan. His mission is to kill as many slayers as he can. He decides to mark her as her chosen believing she is human.
Rafael had a fourteen year fight with his twin alpha brother Lucien Mondragon. Rafa killed Lucien's chosen. He believes she was a slayer using black magic. He was defending his people. Luca doesn't believe him. He is only waiting fot the time when Rafael marks someone so he can kill her. The Blood Law says that no Lycan will lay with a Slayer. And if a Lycan killed another Lycan's property, then an Eye for an Eye is the law. Rafael has taken his time marking a female because he feels guilty about getting a innocent killed. But time is running out.
To Luca's surprise the woman his brother has chosen is different, she has powers and speaks up her mind too. He decides to keep her alive for a while longer.
The brothers are cursed to spend time as wolves, one during the day and one during the night. Only two hours a day are they both humans at the same time (dusk and dawn).
There is huge love triangle in this series. This is part of a trilogy. Beware it ends in a cliff hanger.
Thanks Joanne for the recommendation.

She also meets Russell whom she feels like she knows already. But the worst is the magnetic pull she has towards rude Reed Wellington. He acts like he hates her and wants her to leave Crestwood immediately. He also can influence people with his voice. What's up with that??But she can't seem to avoid him. He is able to do things she can't understand at the beginning. But he could help decipher her nightmares and premonitions.
Don't want to spoil what or who Reed and Russell are to Evie but its worth the read.

He wants a new one and he is at a bar just looking for his next companion.

She doesn't want companionship, but when she meets gorgeous Jack with a proposition she can't deny him.
Laurelyn is aware that at the end of the three months she will go back to the States and she can never contact him anymore.
The best part of the book is watching Laurelyn break every wall Jack has.
Yes, there is a cliffhanger ending but as I told a someone, I consider them chapters. Chapter Aussie done, Chapter Nashville to come.

Now, where is the movie??? Where is Ian and Nina??? (same with Dublin- needs to be a movie!)
This book surprise me. Happily surprised. The chemistry between the characters was awesome. I read it after I saw goodreads author Samantha Young gave it 5 star review. And since I love Dublin, I thought I will give Georgia Cates a chance.
Let's start with the cover. Very suggestive. Nice satin sheets. Nice wine acknowledgment.
Let's talk about Jack. At the beginning of the book, I thought it was going to be a Fifty type book. A multi millionaire man having a sexual contract. Further from the truth. Yes he has had multiple companions in the last few years, but there was nothing kinky about it.  And Jack has no problem holding, kissing, touching. He comes from a good family. He is only trying to protect his privacy.
Laurelyn is good heroine. She goes for what she wants. She also respects Jack and his decisions.
I can't wait for Laurelyn to be famous and sing the song she wrote for him and Jack able to listen to the lyrics. This side if Laurelyn remind me of Stella from the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley.

Spoiler Fangalert: Jack -it can't be hard to find her- you know her name, that she lives in Nashville, what she does for a living. You know her ex producer's name and who her dad is.....hurry up mate.

Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles #1) by Kami Garcia

Everything changes when a new girl joins his school. Her name is Lena Duchannes and she seems to be avoiding him. The more he looks at her the more attracted he is to her. When he figures out she is the woman of his dreams, nothing will keep him away from her. He knows she is different but when she tells him she is a caster, he has a hard time believing it. I like that the story was told from Ethan's POV. Refreshing. Good start of a series although I thought the book was a little too long.
