Rafael had a fourteen year fight with his twin alpha brother Lucien Mondragon. Rafa killed Lucien's chosen. He believes she was a slayer using black magic. He was defending his people. Luca doesn't believe him. He is only waiting fot the time when Rafael marks someone so he can kill her. The Blood Law says that no Lycan will lay with a Slayer. And if a Lycan killed another Lycan's property, then an Eye for an Eye is the law. Rafael has taken his time marking a female because he feels guilty about getting a innocent killed. But time is running out.
To Luca's surprise the woman his brother has chosen is different, she has powers and speaks up her mind too. He decides to keep her alive for a while longer.
The brothers are cursed to spend time as wolves, one during the day and one during the night. Only two hours a day are they both humans at the same time (dusk and dawn).
There is huge love triangle in this series. This is part of a trilogy. Beware it ends in a cliff hanger.
Thanks Joanne for the recommendation.
She has worked for his family for many years, but Bennett has been away in Paris making a name for himself during this time. But when he decides to come back, he is given Chloe as his assistant. Someone who is smart and extremely attractive. She only wears designer clothes and is always perfectly presentable. He is attracted to her but also hates her or so he believes.
Everything changes for both after a passionate afternoon. They become addicted to each other. The more they are together the less they want to be apart. It is hard for them to open up about their feelings and to find a way to be together without their jobs being affected.
Don't want to spoil what or who Reed and Russell are to Evie but its worth the read.
Thanks for the recommendation Janet. I enjoyed it.
Jess Morgan is back To Destiny Falls. She has been away for nine years. She is back home to help her mom deal with her grief of loosing her second husband. Jess and her step father were not close. In fact, he was one of the reasons she stayed away for so many years. Some of the blame can be given to Jess's mom who let him get away with it.
Jess didn't want to come back to Destiny Falls since she still has horrible memories of this place. She lost her dad and her boyfriend in a logging accident. Marc Fairley is rich, has his own corporation and is not happy his mother fell in love with someone through a dating service. He visits the town to check on the owner of the company. When he meets Sierra, who is strong willed and funny, he is speechless.
They end up going out. Some misunderstandings occured. Some secondary characters fall in love too.
Nice, easy read
Abbie Gough keeps to herself. She comes from an abusive relationship. Her neighbor, Ivan Orlinsky, who the other tenants have name the Serial Killer is quiet and secretive.
But, when Abby spots him from her window one night she can't keep him out of her mind.
Soon they start having an unconventional relationship. Both have been hurt. Both have been damaged. But this novella, has a happy ending
When Laurelyn Prescott gets invited to Australia by her best friend, she can think of a better idea. Someone recently broke her heart and she can't wait to move on. She is a musician but has left her career behind. For three months a change in venue will help her heal. She doesn't want companionship, but when she meets gorgeous Jack with a proposition she can't deny him.
Laurelyn is aware that at the end of the three months she will go back to the States and she can never contact him anymore.
The best part of the book is watching Laurelyn break every wall Jack has.
Yes, there is a cliffhanger ending but as I told a someone, I consider them chapters. Chapter Aussie done, Chapter Nashville to come.
Now, where is the movie??? Where is Ian and Nina??? (same with Dublin- needs to be a movie!)
This book surprise me. Happily surprised. The chemistry between the characters was awesome. I read it after I saw goodreads author Samantha Young gave it 5 star review. And since I love Dublin, I thought I will give Georgia Cates a chance.
Let's start with the cover. Very suggestive. Nice satin sheets. Nice wine acknowledgment.
Let's talk about Jack. At the beginning of the book, I thought it was going to be a Fifty type book. A multi millionaire man having a sexual contract. Further from the truth. Yes he has had multiple companions in the last few years, but there was nothing kinky about it. And Jack has no problem holding, kissing, touching. He comes from a good family. He is only trying to protect his privacy.
Laurelyn is good heroine. She goes for what she wants. She also respects Jack and his decisions.
I can't wait for Laurelyn to be famous and sing the song she wrote for him and Jack able to listen to the lyrics. This side if Laurelyn remind me of Stella from the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley.
Spoiler Fangalert: Jack -it can't be hard to find her- you know her name, that she lives in Nashville, what she does for a living. You know her ex producer's name and who her dad is.....hurry up mate.
Everything changes when a new girl joins his school. Her name is Lena Duchannes and she seems to be avoiding him. The more he looks at her the more attracted he is to her. When he figures out she is the woman of his dreams, nothing will keep him away from her. He knows she is different but when she tells him she is a caster, he has a hard time believing it. Time is running out before her birthday and a curse that may destroy them all.
I like that the story was told from Ethan's POV. Refreshing. Good start of a series although I thought the book was a little too long.
