Claimed by Elle Kennedy

GOODREADS | AMAZON | B&N

The bestselling author of the Killer Instincts novels “knows how to write scorching sexual tension”*. Now she really sets it on fire in a new series about men and women living on the edge of violence, sex, and life and death.

After a devastating war decimated most of the world, Hudson Lane has only known the oppressive life under her own father’s tyranny. She finally escapes, branding herself an outlaw and hunted by the Enforcers. Her best chance at survival is Connor Mackenzie, an aggressively sensual fugitive who opens her eyes to the wicked possibilities of a world without rules.

As the leader of a band of outlaw fighters, Connor can’t resist the beautiful stranger who asks for his protection. Despite his reservations, he agrees to introduce her to a whole new way of life. But when Connor discovers Hudson’s connection to the enemies of liberty, he wonders how far he can trust the woman who has abandoned all inhibitions to challenge every forbidden desire.

Holy. Smokes.  This book blew me away and I am dying for another one.

After a war wiped out most of the world, Connor Mackenzie is the leader of a small group of outlaws.  He’s on a mission to find the man who’s responsible for the death of somewhere very close to him.  Connor doesn’t want people relying on him so he refuses to take anyone else in. . . Until he meets Hunter Lane

Hunter is a runaway from a camp that had something horrible planned for her if she stayed.  When she runs into Connor’s group she immediately senses his protectiveness, and just looking at him causes her to feel something she’s never felt before.

As Connor and Hunter explore each other their relationship turns into something more than either of them expected.  And when secrets are revealed it causes a drift in everything they’ve been working toward.

I.  Loved.  This.  Book! Everything about it had me hooked.  This is the first book I’ve read by Elle Kennedy and I have to say it will not be the last.  The writing was phenomenal and the world building was even better.  The visual of every situation was impressively vibrant.

It’s rare that I find a book where I’m drawn in by the first page.  Generally it takes me a few chapters to get fully invested with the characters, but with Claimed as soon as I started the first chapter I knew it would be a great story. The small pact of outlaws had their own unique personality and I’m hoping they all get their own books.  Man… their stories would be so interested AND hot!

The hotness level of this book was out of this world.  One aspect of the story was being free living as an outlaw.  Embracing every day and everyone in your life. . . they never knew when their last day would be with the constant threats surrounding them.  And man.. did Hunter and Connor embrace each other.  But those scenes didn’t take away from the story at all.  Sometimes when I read “erotica” if feels like the sex is rushed and the actual storyline falls apart.  But Elle Kennedy knows how to mix the right amount of hotness that adds to the overall story instead of taking it away.

If you are a fan of action, intense and extreme living conditions and hot sex scenes, you HAVE to read Claimed.  And if you’re not a fan of those things… you have to pick it up anyways.  You won’t be disappointed.

5 FANGS!
