"Some say the past is in the past. That vengeance will hurt both innocent and guilty. I never believed those lies. Once my lust for revenge is sated, I'll say goodbye to hatred. I'll find a new beginning."
She came from a past Arthur "Kill" Killian never forgot. She made him sin and made him suffer. She tugged him from the shadows and showed him he wasn't as dead as he thought. And with her resurrection came betrayal, deceit, and war.
But then they took her. Stole her. Imprisoned her.
Now Kill's carefully laid plans for vengeance are complete. He craves action, retribution-the blood of his enemies. War has begun. War is all they'll know until they've paid their penance. He will get her back-and rewrite their destiny . . .

After the way Ruin & Rule ended I knew Sin & Suffer was going to start off with a bang. I don't want any spoilers in this review so I'll just say that I was left with my mouth hanging open when I finished Ruin & Rule and needed to read Sin & Suffer as soon as possible!
Cleo and Arthur have been through so much in their lives. Raised in the MC life things were not always hearts and flowers for them and after being torn apart things only got worse. With Cleo still trying to piece together her past and Art out for retribution things don't seem to be looking up. Not only that but they certainly don't expect the Dagger Rose to be as smart as they have been lately. Arthur is the genius not his scum of the earth father right? And if Cleo does manage to remember everything, what will that mean for her future with Art?
This story took off from the very first chapter. It started on a high note and just kept building from there. There is so much going on from all angles that I had to make sure I took every detail in. The past meshing with the present, and then the future. Even through half of the this book I still wasn't sure who to trust. Everyone had their own agenda and secrets, which made me scared for the couple I only wanted to see happy and together.
This story had such a great mix of characters. I loved the unconditional faith Cleo and Arthur had in each other, and then finally being able to trust and lean on someone else. Hopper was awesome! He was cute and funny, wise and forgiving. I can't wait to read his story in the future. I loved how everything came together in the end with a great showdown that ended just the way I like. I don't feel like I read this book, I feel like the author told me this story. And extra kudos for the cover! It is fierce!

***This review won’t have spoilers for Sin&Suffer but may contain some for those who haven’t read the first book yet.***
Pepper Winters does it again with Sin&Suffer. The story starts off right after the first book. Cleo has been kidnapped and taken away from Kill once again and is in the hands of the man responsible for her parents deaths.
When Kill gets her back he stops at nothing to get revenge because everything that has happened to them. ———Notice how vague I am, I still don’t want to spoil the story ;) ———

“And I’m the man I am because of the girl you were.”
So basically this book had a ton of action. It’s one of those stories where I really hate talking about the plot because the twists and turns made the book what it was, and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
Killian, once again, was absolutely phenomenal. He was typical biker, alpha president but still extremely sweet and loyal. His words melted my heart and I was rooting for his plan the entire time.
“There’s never been anyone like you. Never. You owned me since I was a boy. And you completely cons me now that I’m a man.”
Cleo was such an awesome character. By being the daughter of an MC president, she understood the life. She was courageous and bold. I loved reading about her unwavering strength and loyalty. And when she and Kill were together, it was explosive.
“I love you Arthur Killian. I would do anything for you and I promise to adore you forever. But if you ever cut me out to protect me again. If you keep secrets or hide, I won’t be the sweet girl you remember.”
“Who will you be?”
“I’ll be the woman who will make you pay.”
One thing I really loved about this book was that it was more than just an MC book. Of course there were guns and shootouts, but there was such a bigger picture than lovable criminals we tend to read about in other motorcycle club books. The club was unlike any other club and it worked.
Pepper Winters wrote a refreshing MC story. I was really worried when I started that I would be so lost because I read the first book months ago, but she did a wonderful job at filling in the blanks to make the story flow. If you love MC novels with hot, alpha bikers and sassy heroines, you have to read this series.

On a personal note she loves to travel, has an addiction to creme brulee, and is married to an incredible Canadian who puts up with her endless work hours and accompanies her on signings. She's also a firm believer that the impossible can become possible.
