"Your hair like this makes your eyes bluer.
Makes your lips pinker. Makes you look too perfect to be real."

I can't believe this series has ended. I'm mourning the loss of these characters already. We won't see more BB fighting with Chloe. There won't be more of Sara and Max's clandestine outings. No more runs for sweet Ziggy and Will. Also, there won't be more Ruby and quiet Niall Stella steamy time.
At least we get one more couple before all is over: Jensen and Pippa.

Jensen is Hannah's brother and Will's best friend. Jensen is a workaholic just like his dear sister. The difference is that Hannah has found love and she is deliriously happy with Will. Her home feels like a home. Jensen has no personal life. He's not ready to put his heart out again. His divorced a few years ago blindsided him. He had no idea why it ended but it changed him.

Pippa is Ruby's friend. She's going through a tough time as well. She hates her job and her romantic life is a mess after finding her boyfriend having sex with another woman on their bed.  She knows she needs a break and a trip across the pond to visit her grandfather and to see Ruby and Co. is just the perfect getaway. She was not counting on meeting Jensen on the plane, getting drunk and babbling her life to him. Worse, she knows she made him uncomfortable but she couldn't seem to stop the train wreck.

Not too long after, Jensen and Pippa meet again. Hannah, Will, Ruby and Niall invite both to their road trip vacation. Jensen has not had a vacation in many years and he knows his sister and best friend are worried about him. He agrees to go but he can't stop himself from doing the math and the only unattached woman going is Pippa. Soon, the Pippa he gets to know makes him want things he's not sure he's ready for.

It took a while for me to fall in love with the main characters.  In the beginning, there was no attraction or banter like I have grown accustomed to with the other couples. It was disconcerting. I felt like Jensen had no desire to be with Pippa and he felt forced to spend time with her.

"You're the perfect holiday girl."

Luckily he came to his senses because Pippa was funny, honest and she charged through life with a happy attitude. I was ready to punch Jensen for hurting her feelings until he came around. I guess better late than never. But, don't get me wrong there were plenty of funny moments, crazy situations, angst and a couple of teary-eyed scenes.

The best part was to have all the other characters appear throughout Beautiful. It was nice of them to say one last goodbye before the final curtain came down.
