Gone Too Deep (Search and Rescue #3)
by Katie Ruggle

In the remote Rocky Mountains, lives depend on the Search & Rescue brotherhood. But in a place this far off the map, trust is hard to come by and secrets can be murder...

George Holloway has spent his life alone, exploring the treacherous beauty of the Colorado Rockies. He's the best survival expert Search and Rescue has, which makes him the obvious choice to lead Ellie Price through deadly terrain to find her missing father. There's just one problem-Ellie's everything George isn't. She's a city girl, charming, gregarious, delicate, small. And when she looks up at him with those big, dark eyes, he swears he would tear the world apart to keep her safe.

With a killer on the loose, he may have no choice.

Ellie's determined to find her father no matter the cost. But as she and her gorgeous mountain of a guide fight their way through an unforgiving wilderness, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous man in search of revenge. And they are now his prey...

Before reading this book, I did not read any of the other books in this series. Now that I have read this book, I know that I NEED to go and read the previous books in this series. Gone Too Deep was GREAT! This book was exciting, suspenseful, hilarious, and romantic. I read this book in a single sitting, because it was so addictive! The mystery in this book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I was close to bitting my nails because of how suspenseful this book was, and I loved that. This book was a thrill ride.

Besides loving the mystery and action aspect of this book, I also really enjoyed the romance. The romance was a slow burn, and I ate it up. I really appreciated the fact that the romance didn't completely take over the plot. The romance was weaved into the narrative in a believable way. I was DYING for Ellie and George to get together! Ellie and George were simply adorable together. I was squealing with joy at some of their romantic moments.

Ellie was a great main character. Her optimistic personality was contagious and adorable. I loved how happy and chipper she was. Ellie constantly had me laughing through out the entire book! I admired how loyal and dedicated Ellie was. Ellie went through a lot for the people she loves, and I don't think most people could have done was she did. George was a very interesting character. I have always had a soft spot for the silent and mysterious characters in books, so I liked him right away. However, at times, it was a little frustrating how quiet George was. I would have liked to have seen more conversations between George and Ellie! That being said, it was adorable to see him slowly open up to Ellie. I thought their romance was the sweetest thing!

Overall, this book was great! Gone Too Deep was a thrilling and gripping story. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone! I was able to enjoy this book even though I didn't read the previous book in this series, however, I would recommend reading the previous books before jumping into this book.

I AM SO EXCITED TO READ THE NEXT BOOK!
