Bossman by Vi Keeland

TitleBossman
AuthorVi Keeland
Release Date: July 18, 2016

From New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn businesshis own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn businessand went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined ustelling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I'd never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I'd run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again...

What were the chances a month later he'd wind up being my new sexy boss?

“Fear does not stop death. It stops life.”

Now I can say the serious buzz this book has isn't just buzz.  I have read quite a few books by Vi Keeland and she never disappoints me.  Furthermore, I love her writing skills. Her characters are funny, smart, super sexy... Bossman is all that and more.

I love the way the MC meets. Reese was trying to get out of a date who was only interested in discussing his mother and to her surprise, Chase helped her after being a complete fool to her in the restroom. And just like that, I was hooked and I loved Chase's capacity to spin such elaborate lies that made absolute sense.

Chase Parker is the CEO of a very successful company. He's powerful, rich and a true alpha. He wants Reese and he has no qualms about it. He's clear in what he wants and likes from Reese. Thankfully, we get to know the softer side of Chase by way of flashbacks seven years earlier when he suffered a devastating loss.

Reese Annesley is on the lookout for a new job. The last one, left her determined not to have an office affair. This last about 2 seconds when she finds out Chase is going to be her big Boss. Pretty soon she knows she likes him and avoiding him is not in the cards for her, especially when her body and soul is calling for him.

“We’re really doing this, huh? Going to be a couple out in the open with my long-lost, middle school, second-cousin boyfriend who is also the bossman?”

Grab this book and read it. I'm sure you'll like it. The best part....the epilogue. Sweetest scene ever!

Cliffhanger: No
