Subject: You're a flippin' idiot

Good morning my dear, naive friend,

I hope you're enjoying a breakfast of regret and sorrow.

Why?

Because you sent me to work for Dean Harper, aka a control freak in a tailor-made suit. Sure he owns the trendiest restaurants in NYC, but c'mon Jo, his ego makes Kanye West look like the Dalai Lama.

He's the type of guy that only hears the word "no" when it's followed by "don't stop."

Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil...and before you say anything, I don't care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn't for sale.

Regretfully yours,
Lily

The Allure of Dean Harper is a standalone, contemporary romance from USA TODAY Bestselling author R.S. Grey with overlapping characters from The Allure of Julian Lefray. Both books can be read separately.

Lily moved to New York to be with her best friend. They both had big dreams. Lily wants to make it in the restaurant business and getting a job at Provisions, Dean Harper's restaurant is her in.
Unfortunately, her first meeting with Dean didn't go as planned. They bickered and she ends up unemployed.

Dean Harper wants nothing else but to be the best he can be in this business. He is a workaholic, with little time to play. He wants his restaurants to be a success. When he meets Lily, he knows she can screw up his plans. She is a distraction and he can't allow her around him. Too bad his hormones are saying a something else.

I love The Allure of Julian Lefrey and I had to read The Allure of Dean Harper. Dean was an important secondary character in Julian's book and I couldn't wait to see where his love story was going to go.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book but it didn't have the same amount of humor the first one did. Also, I was not crazy about Dean's behavior through it all. It bothered me that he used his situation as her boss to make her feel bad. I felt like he was able to discard her too easily. Their love was more love-hate with less romance.

On the contrary, Lily was a great heroine. She knew what she wanted and she went for it. She was determined, smart and was able to put Dean in his place.

Cliffhanger: No
