Love, Chloe by Alessandra Torre

Title: Love, Chloe
Author: Alessandra Torre
Release Date: March 14, 2016

From NYT Bestseller Alessandra Torre...
The sexy serial that exploded on Cosmopolitan.com is now a full-length, standalone novel.

Chloe Madison. That’s me. A former NYU princess who just fell from grace, right off my pampered Manhattan throne and onto the unforgiving steps of Nicole Brantley, socialite and queen bitch. Now, I walk her dog and mix her smoothies. Try to navigate my own problems while fixing all of hers.

I want what every New York girl wants. A career, an apartment, and true love, preferably in a smoking hot package.

It turns out I’ll have to fight for all of it.

This was a fun read.

Chloe Madison finds herself with no money when her rich parents are charged by the FBI for insider trading. She has no money and in order for NYU to give her degree, she must finish paying her tuition. She has no other choice but to find a job. This is the reason why she ends up working for Nicole Brantley. Nicole is rich, married to Clarke and starting to shoot a Hollywood movie. Nicole makes Chloe do eccentric requests including taking care of her dog.

Chloe's love life is not any better. She was in love with Vic. Her relationship ended when she found him having sex with his maid. Chloe still has feelings for him and Vic is insisting on a second chance. But, Chloe doesn't want to be that girl. She wants someone she can trust, just like the super in her new apartment.

Love, Chloe was a little slow at the beginning. It took a while to know where the love story was heading, to the point I wasn't sure who the guy was going to be. Once it was clear who he was, the story picked up speed.

One of the things I liked about the book was the love Chloe had for NYC. Her Instagram pictures said it all from food to the architecture to sharing the city with the love of your life.
I have been to NYC a few times and I always find myself wanting to go back, especially after a book like this.

Even though, the romance took a while to develop I was very happy with it. The chosen guy is super hot. Someone Chloe needed and who complemented her well.

As for the secondary characters, Chloe's girlfriends Cammie and Benta were good to her. They tried to look out for her. I love that despite Chloe falling out of grace, they stood by her.
Clarke and Joey were two strong male characters I liked too.

Cliffhanger: No

4/5 Fangs
