The time has finally come...KATIE ASHLEY HAS WRITTEN ANOTHER BOOK! I was so excited to be able to read this book, because I loved some of her other books. I love bad boys, especially ones who have tattoos and ride a motorcycles.
I enjoyed this book. It was exciting, sexy, and romantic. Deacon was definitely hard around the edges, but I found his grittiness to be very alluring at times. Sometimes he was a complete jerk, but he always tried to make up for it. I would never be able to date him, but he was an exciting character to read about. I wish he would have been a little nicer to his daughter initially, but it was nice to see him grow to care for her.
Alexandra was a sweet character who cared about everyone, and she stood up for the people she cared about. I loved how dedicated she was to making sure Willow got a proper education. The relationship between Alexandra and Willow was really sweet, and I loved watching Willow develop through their relationship.
Alexandra and Deacon definitely had a very passionate romance. There were some scenes that made me uncomfortable due to how gritty or sexy they were. Those scenes made me want to cringe because they made me feel so uncomfortable. They might have made me so uncomfortable because I would never do those things, so they might not make other people uncomfortable. One of the scenes that made me extremely uncomfortable was when Alexandra pretended to be a stripper to get Deacon's attention...
Overall this is a good read if you like romances about badass bikers. This wasn't my favorite biker book, but I did enjoy it! I just wish Deacon would have been a nicer to his daughter (nicer to people in general actually), and I wish there were not so many scenes that made me uncomfortable.
