The Girl in 6E (Deanna Madden #1)
by A.R. Torre

I am, quite possibly, the most popular recluse ever. Not many shut-ins have a 200-member fan club, a bank account in the seven-figure range, and hundreds of men lining up to pay for undivided attention.

They get satisfaction, I get a distraction. Their secret desires are nothing compared to why I hide... my lust for blood, my love of death.

Taking their money is easy. Keeping all these secrets... one is bound to escape.

What if you hid yourself away because all you could think of was killing? And what if one girl's life depending on you venturing into society?

“Let’s just say I don’t play well with others.”

Once again, Alessandra Torre delivered a great story. It was dark, twisted and not at all what I expected going in.  But that's what I love most about her books, each one is so different.

There’s two sides to the girl locked in apartment 6E. The cam girl that spends most of her time having virtual sex with her clients and the damaged girl that has a thirst for blood.  In her mind, she’s  destined to follow in her mother's footsteps and the only way to stop it from happening is to starve her urge.  To cut herself off from everyone.

The homicidal tendencies, the cam girl aspect of the story (which I had no clue about prior to this book) and the alternating POVs, sucked me in. Some things were disturbing, but I thought it all came together brilliantly.  Strangely enough, it left me with a sense of hope. Hope that a broken girl could find a way to live a ‘normal’ life.  Especially with Jeremy.

“Please, hold me.”

This story was more suspense than romance, but I think she proved with this one, she can write anything.
