Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1)
by Nalini Singh

*Reread

Sasha Duncan is a Psy. Psy are not allowed to feel emotions. Years ago they were reprogrammed to loose them. However, something is wrong with Sasha, lately the feelings she has tried to disguise since childhood are coming afloat but she can’t let the Council  discover she is flawed or her life would be in danger. Flawed Psy get their mind turned to mush, they call it rehabilitation. When Sasha is placed as a liaison with the changeling pack Alpha Lucas on a housing project, she can’t seem to avoid developing feelings for him. Nonetheless, there is no escaping the Psy-Net.

Lucas Hunter became the DarkRiver leopard pack leader at the age of twenty-three. Nowadays he’s on a revenge mission. Someone is killing female Changelings and he must gain access to the Psy’s knowledge. What better way to get the information he needs than to spend time with one of them? It doesn’t matter that Sasha seems to be different and that his beast likes her. Pack comes first.

I enjoyed this book this second time around much more. Nagili’s world building is amazing. She truly developed multiple characters with enough depth to make me want to read more about their lives.
The romance is there but so is the mystery. There’s a sense of running out of time until someone else dies.
The mixture of Psy lacking feelings (almost like psychopaths) and the Changelings feeling too much was a perfect combo.

Cliffhanger : No
