All Played Out (Rusk University #3) by Cora Carmack

I actually have not read any book in this series, but I decided to pick up this book because the premise sounded like a book I would really enjoy. I am extremely happy that I decided to pick up this book, because I adored it immensely. I now definitely plan on going back and reading the other two books!  If you are interested in this book, it can be read as a stand alone, but I am warning you that you will want to go back and read the entire series! This book is definitely a winner.

I absolutely loved the main character, Nell. She was so awkward and adorable that I couldn't help but love her. I also really enjoyed the fact that she was a shy nerd. I can usually relate to those types of characters, and I definitely could relate to Nell in that sense. The only issue I had with Nell's character was that she seemed to come out of her shell way too quickly. I am glad that she did open up and "live" more, but I wish it would had developed at a slower place.

The other main character in this book was Matteo. I don't know if words can describe how much I loved his character. He was hilarious and he oozed charisma. Usually guys like that can come off as complete jerks, but Matteo was the complete opposite because he had a huge heart. He was just so lovable! The only thing I didn't like about Matteo was that I felt uncomfortable with the reason why he found himself attracted to Nell. I don't want to specifically say it since that would be a spoiler. However, I was glad the issue was discussed and fleshed out by the end of the book in an adorable way.

The romance in this book was the perfect combination of adorable and sexy. I loved how Matteo and Nell seemed like complete opposites, but they worked so well together. They definitely brought out the best in each other. Their relationship was constantly putting a smile on my face. Matteo and Nell also had a lot of chemistry together, and it was almost palpable. Cora definitely knows how to write some steamy scenes! What I also liked about the romance in this book was that there wasn't any unnecessary angst. There is some angst in this book, but never made me roll my eyes or made me want to stop reading the book. The angst felt natural and I loved the way the angst was solved.

I really enjoyed this book! I definitely would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new contemporary romance to read.
