Harry Dresden is asked to help with a new investigation involving possible werewolf attacks. Murphy, the one handling the investigation is still mad at Harry for omitting information about the magic world in Storm Front.
There is a lot of action in this book. Harry is constantly battling some new evil and nothing goes as planed for him. More than once he's ready to die. Luckily, since I know he has more than ten books, I know he isn't in any real danger.
I thought the werewolf lore was amazing. So many types, including the last one that we get at the end of the book.
Harry's love life seems to be at a stand still. Susan, the reporter seems to be the one he likes, for now. I'm guessing Murphy will be the one in the future. But, right now I don't like Murphy. She is too immature at times. Hitting Harry was dreadful. Someone said Police Brutality? She is not my favorite character.
One thing that drives me nuts is the self-deprecating Harry goes through over a over. Harry, stop being selfish. Everything bad that happens around you doesn't make YOU the reason for it. People died because of their decisions not because they know you. I seriously hope this improves over the next few books.
I do have to admit that the audiobook is AMAZING, maybe because James Marsters (aka Spike!) is the one narrating it. I wonder why James doesn't play him on TV/Movies. I can back that plan up.
Cliffhanger: No
