Volume 2 starts more than a year later (although we get some past scenes too).
Katia has moved away with her mother. She is living in poverty and working as a waitress. Katia is desperate but asking her father for help is not an option until her mother's health declines. Facing the man who broke her, her husband Marcus Tandem is the last thing she wants, but divorcing him and really starting over might be the best thing she can do.
This book took me for a crazy ride. One minute I was loving Marcus, then I was hating him. Same goes with Katia. I was shocked, angry, sad. So many ups and downs. Marcus's POV helped enormously in keeping him on my good side. He was so damaged too.
When they are together they act on their anger, despair, love. It's explosive.
Secondary characters play a good part in helping them. And broody brother was my favorite.
