Destined for Doon by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon

In this sequel to Doon, Kenna Reid realizes she made a horrible mistake-choosing to follow her dreams of Broadway instead of staying in the enchanted land of Doon. Worse, she's received proof she and Duncan are meant to be, along with torturous visions of the prince she left behind. So when Duncan shows up and informs Kenna that Doon needs her, she doesn't need to think twice. But even if Kenna can save the enchanted kingdom, her happily ever after may still be in peril.

The Doon novels are a part of Blink, HarperCollins Christian Publishing's new YA imprint that delivers empowering and heartening literature while maintaining a tradition of imaginative and impactful storytelling.

I definitely preferred this book to the first one, and I think that might be because I got to see much more of Duncan. I absolutely adore Duncan, and I was so freaking excited to read this book due to fact that Duncan was going to have a bigger role in this book.

Sometimes Duncan made me want to scream in frustration, but I still loved him. The reason I wanted to scream was because of the lack of communication between Duncan and Kenna. They would would keep things from each other and they would never tell each other how they really felt. I wanted to locked them in a very small room and only let them out once they admitted that they loved each other. I just wanted them to kiss and tell each other how much they actually cared for one another.

The lack of communication made the first part of this book sort of drag a little bit. However, the last part of the book completely made up for that. I devoured the last half of this book. It was thrilling and I couldn't stop reading the book.

The world of Doon was still as addictive and magical as ever in this book. I am so excited to see more of Doon in the future books. I loved learning about this mystical place in Scotland. The world Lorie and Carey created is just so phenomenal. I couldn't stop thinking about Doon after finishing this book. I want to be transported to this world ASAP.

I connected with Vee a lot more in this book than I did in the first book. I thought Vee grew a lot as a character and I really enjoyed seeing her struggles with being queen. It seemed extremely realistic that everything wasn't perfect. Vee is definitely my favorite female character in this series.

Jamie and Duncan were as swoon worthy as ever in this book. I am hopelessly in love with both Jamie and Duncan. Even though Duncan was a little annoying in this book, he still managed to make me swoon. Carey and Lorie incorporated some really romantic scenes in this book that made my heart so happy.

THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK....

Let's just say that I am dying to read the next book after that ending.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was a fabulous addition to this series. I am in love with everything about this series. I cannot wait to read the next book. I have a feeling it will be amazing.
