Grayson's Vow by Mia Sheridan

Kira Dallaire is desperate.

Some challenges in life seem too hard to overcome. With little money, and even fewer options, the quick-witted and vibrant twenty-two-year-old needs to reinvent herself. Known for her generous heart and impulsive personality, she devises a survival plan, possibly her most outrageous idea yet.

Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope.

Some obstacles in life seem too hard to overcome. Betrayal definitely being one of them. With limited capital, and dwindling resources, he is attempting to resurrect his failing family vineyard, a self-imposed vow seemingly destined to fail. That is until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish, unexpected proposition impossible to refuse.

What begins as a temporary business arrangement, soon evolves into more as vivacious, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself. But as their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, they'll realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb, and that lies and deception rarely precede a happily every after.

As Kira and Grayson race toward their destiny, they will discover that some vows are meant to be broken, and others are worth risking everything for . . . even your very own heart.

THIS IS A STANDALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY LIBRA. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

This is a love story between a Dragon and a Witch.  Oh wait, not really.

Kira Dallaire needs money and independence from her controlling father. She is ready to move forward and her next Big Bad Idea is to marry for money. Her grandmother has left her an inheritance but she must get married or turn thirty to claim it.

Grayson Hawthorn needs money to save his vineyard. He made a vow to his dead father to make it a success. But, when the bank denies him the loan to save it he decides to accept the crazy proposal the "princess" is offering.

What starts as a business deal turns to complication with a capital C. For the first time in his life, Kira makes Grayson feel alive. It doesn't matter if they are happy or fighting. She makes him act like a kid again, enjoying life with her crazy antics.  The light she brings into his heart is real. Letting her go is not going to be easy....

"So that will be our story? We bumped into each other here in Napa, fell in love, and impulsively married because we were irrational—but not flighty—with new love?"

I just love Mia Sheridan's writing. I loved both characters.

Kira was a spitfire. She was a determined little thing. She was also sweet, honest, tender and funny. She had me laughing so many times with her descriptions and names for Grayson. I was 100% team Kira.

Grayson. What. Can. I. Say?  I love a brooding character and he is the definition of one. He did make wrong assumptions and hurt Kira's feelings but at the end of the day, I still like him. I could make a list of pro and cons as to why I love them ;)
I strongly recommend you to read this book. And wait until you read the epilogue. It made me melt.

By the way, the pet names fit them perfectly. Refreshing!

"She needs love more than anything. The only thing that will hurt her is holding it back."
