Julie Keaton has lost one love and she is not willing to have any more losses in her life. Her fianceĆ© Jason Sherman was killed in Afghanistan but he left behind a son that he never met. Julie has done the best she can as a single parent. The last thing she wanted was to complicate her life with love. When she meets Neal on a beach she knows she should stay away from him but the more they are thrown together the harder it is to leave him.

Neal knows that Julie is what he has been looking for. He has no need to play games with her. He just needs to convince Julie that she can love again despite what he does for a living. He however, is hiding a huge secret from her. A secret which could destroy them.

This book starts with a good plot and I was interested in it from the beginning. I could understand how Julie could be scared to love again. How she wanted to protect her kid until she knew the guy was worth it. I also understood why Neal wanted to fight for her. What I didn't like was the insta-love scenario.  I wished the author would have avoided them falling in love so soon.

Cliffhanger : No
