She goes back to Arrowhart College early and while staring at the lake she falls into the water and when she is rescued, she discovers that her rescuer is a hot tattooed guy full of muscles too. After he helps her get dry, she runs away.

Hunter "The Hammer" Jenses is an MMA cage fighter. When he meets Lorrie, he decides that he likes her and wants to spend time with her. When she tells him she can't be romanticly involved with him, he understands and asks for her friendship instead.

Soon things get complicated since they are attracted to each other and they are both keeping secrets.

I really liked the beginning of this book but at some point Lorrie started irritating me. I got tired of her pushing Hunter away. He was always nice to her and he did everything to keep her happy. She denial of her feelings towards Hunter got old pretty quick. I mean the guy likes kittens!! and even names some of them:
“Georgia, Frida, Taylor, Rampage, Iceman, and Bones."

At the end of the book we learn Hunter's secret which is pretty sad and I do hope he finds happiness.

I found that difficult to believe given his devilish good-looks. It would be easier for me to believe if he’d said he had a ticket system for girls lining up outside his apartment door. Maybe even a BYOC policy—Bring Your Own Condom.
