Hothouse Flower by Krista and Becca Ritchie (Calloway Sisters #2, Spin-Off of the Addicted series)

I fucking love Ryke Meadows!  I adore this series and each of the couples, but Ryke and Daisy's story is my new favorite.  They are so HOT together.  I'm seriously going to be one depressed girl when this series ends.

Ryke is the heart of Hale/Calloway clan.  He can be moody, abrasive and drops the f-bomb constantly, but he has a big heart.  With Lo and Lily focused on keeping their addictions at bay and Conner and Rose busy trying to one-up each other, Ryke finds himself taking care of the youngest Calloway sister, Daisy.  Not that he's complaining.  When they first met, Daisy, was only 15, but now she's 18.  They are kindred spirits and he's always had strong feelings for her, but he won't cross that line.  He can't risk destroying his relationship with his brother, Lo. 

Daisy is suffering from insomnia after all of the media attention surrounding Lily's addiction, the reality show and the constant swarm of paparazzi.  Ryke, her wolf, is the only one she feels she can share her secrets with.  Daisy just doesn't want to burden her sisters.  Ryke wants to protect her and take care of her, so he sleeps in her bed every night. They flirt shamelessly with one another and the tension is thick!  Loved it! They are so cute together.

"I can't keep you forever, can I? Like a miniature Ryke Meadows carry-on or pocket-sized version?"  

When Daisy has to go off to Paris for fashion week, Ryke decides it's time to put some distance between them.  He suggests that they both start dating......other people.  I was so heartbroken. A few days after Daisy leaves, Ryke finds out she isn't doing so well alone in Paris.  He realizes he can't go another day without her and hops a plane to be by her side.  The sparks fly! They want to be together and decide it's best to keep it a secret for the time being.  But, when the whole clan ends up on a road trip together, that doesn't prove to be easy.  Lots of secrets are revealed!

"I kissed you tonight because I want your lips to only touch mine.  From now until forever."

I didn't want this story to end.  As with the other books in the series, the banter between the siblings was really funny and there was some unexpected twists.  Not to mention, some seriously hot scenes!  This book was so much more than I expected.  If you haven't read this series, you are missing out.  Get on it!
