Just Breathe by Tamara Mataya

Elle Granger is a librarian who suffers from synaesthesia. She is also nursing a broken heart when her boyfriend Jason leaves her without a real break up. She turns to pot for relief and once pot becomes too much for her, she switches to wine.

Elle is to ashamed about being left behind to tell her friends the truth about her relationship. Instead she says it was a mutual decision.

One day at the library she meets Hazel Eyes. This attractive man is asking for book recommendations and Elle jumps to the idea of helping the stranger fall in love with new authors and genres. When he comes back she learns his name is Dominic.
Soon Dominic is invading all her senses and her dates with him are all special. He takes the time to learn her condition without making her feel it's an obstacle.
But her happiness may be gone when lies are uncovered.

I must admit that the story is different. However, I was unable to relate to Elle and her pot addiction.  As soon as her life went the wrong way she fell into a self destructive behavior.
On the other hand, I liked Dominic.  He was super sweet to Elle and he never took her for granted.  He was extra careful with her synaesthesia, very attentive and perceptive.
I disliked Jason. He hurt Elle. He was selfish, arrogant and a complete looser.
