F*ck Love is a freaking good story!

I haven't read the last 3 books Taryn has published but Airport Blue is still one of my favorite colors! If you haven't met Caleb, you are missing out. 

What I liked about the story:

At first, I had no idea what to expect with Kit Isley and the crayon scene. Then, everything made sense. 

What if you knew you were making a mistake in choosing the wrong man, when the right man is in your life too but the thought of being with him has never crossed your mind? This is exactly what Helena has to deal with. Worse, the guy of her dreams is her best friend's new boyfriend.

You can imagine how much of a mess their lives will become. Helena is insecure of who she wants. After all, she does have Neil in her life, her boyfriend. Also, hurting her best friend Della is not something she's willing to do. 

I felt all kinds of emotions through this rollercoaster. I had major sympathy for Helena's dilemma. She was trying to do the right thing by everyone except herself.

“Life is but a carousel of four seasons. Unpredictable for the most part. Happy. Unhappy. Content. Searching. Mess up the order, and they still rebound at one point or another.”

I disliked Della with a passion. She was selfish, clingy and using a baby as a tool it's so middle ages. In a way, she took pleasure in hurting Helena and never once said thanks for everything Helena did for her. 

Let me talk about Kit....half of the time I wanted to hurt him bad. He was weak, indecisive and I never thought he fought enough for Helena. To the point than when blue-eyed Muslim showed up, I was ready to give Kit the boot. Now, other times....I was rooting for him. Rooting for him to get the girl. To wake up and turn his nightmare into the perfect dream and for the love of all that is good, freaking buy condoms!!!

“You shouldn’t have to convince anyone to choose you. There is no real choice in love.”

Taryn is very good at giving me the idea that her stories are based in truth. A Miami girl moving to Washington, running away from heartbreak. Sounds familiar? I sure think so. How many women have run away from the things that remind them of an ex-boyfriend, ex-lover, or ex-husband?

“You can remember the bad things about a place, or you can remember the good. Sometimes they’re tied together. That makes it even more interesting.”

Thief (Love Me With Lies #3)

Thief

This is the conclusion of Olivia and Caleb's story.
If you haven't read the first two books, you are missing out. I love the first two books.

Thief is mostly from Caleb's POV, although we get some of Olivia and Noah's too. It's nice to be in Caleb's mind for a change.
Just the name of the main characters make me want them together in the end. (I love the dark duet's Olivia and Caleb)
I was so excited to read Thief.  I have been looking forward to it since finishing Dirty Red. This book is narrated in the past and the present. Duchess and Caleb are not done suffering.  Olivia is still married. There may be someone else in Caleb's life.  Some people still want them apart (cough- Leah- cough). If you love drama this is the perfect novel.  In my case, I like less suffering specially since the couple has suffered for ten years already.  I wanted more happiness.  I know RL is not like this but I'm a hopeless romantic.
I'm going to miss these characters and I was left with some questions about some of the other characters lives.
I want to mention that the cover of this book is awesome. The model is a perfect Caleb.

I was disappointed Leah didn't end with the nanny.
I was sad about the hysterectomy. I mean if Olivia had ovarian cancer stage 1- she will only need an oophorectomy with salpigectomy on the side affected and no hysterectomy is required. She could have still conceived. But, if she had more advanced cancer then she will need a debulking surgery which includes oophorectomy, hysterectomy and lymph node resection follow by chemotherapy and she would have lost her hair.
In the end I'm happy airport blue got his penny back.

Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies #2) by Tarryn Fisher

Dirty Red

This book is from Leah's POV. Why will the author devote a whole book to Red? I don't know.
I hate Leah and yet it was good to read this book.
I understand why she acts evil at times. And I want her so far away from Caleb that's not even funny. But, do I want her with Nanny Sam as HEA, probably.
This book has tons of angst too. I want to still slap everyone except Olivia.
The end of book two, in a way is great. I want Caleb to hurt for his poor choices.


Spoiler Fangalert: Is Caleb's brother the baby's daddy?
Is the Gift Olivia opened on her birthday wrap in Airport blue the penny?? Is Leah going to try to hurt Olivia physically?
I hope not, otherwise she won't end up with Sam.
Can't wait for Thief. What is Caleb stealing from Noah-hmmm Olivia maybe?

The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies #1) by Tarryn Fisher

The Opportunist

Olivia Kaspen met Caleb in college. She tried to avoid him at all cost. She knew he was trouble from the start.
At the beginning she tries to stay away but later on she only wants him. She will do anything to get him back. And unfortunately, she makes the wrong choices. At the end they end up their relationship in the worse way ever. Years later they meet again, but Caleb has lost his memory after a car accident. She grabs the opportunity fate has handed her. The only problem is that Caleb has a girlfriend and she is evil.

What a book!! It remind so much of the Avoiding series.
It is painful to read. The angst is superb. Days later I'm still thinking about this book.
Caleb's choices are poor to say the least. Half the time I want to scream at both and slap a few people. The emotions this book brings are incredible.
Airport blue has never been the best color ever and a penny has never meant so much.
4/5 Fangs- because I want more in the epilogue.
