Roar was such a fascinating and captivating book. I was sucked in from the first page of this book, and the ending left me eager for more. 

The plot of Roar was unique and extremely interesting. I loved the concept of controlling storms and stealing the heart of the storm. Every time something new was revealed, I found myself becoming more and more fascinated with this story. The author created such an intricate and immersive world that I got lost in. I cannot wait to learn more about this new world in the future books. I WANT TO LIVE IN THIS MAGICAL AND AMAZING WORLD!

I also liked how much action this book had. The action involving the storms had me on the edge of my seat! As much as I liked the plot of the book, I did feel like some things got a little repetitive, but the book definitely held my interest as a whole. 

The main character, Aurora, was such a delightful character. I was worried that she was just going to be an average special snowflake type character. I was extremely excited when she was so much more than that. She was such a kind, determined, tough, and smart character. I really connected with her and I was rooting for her the entire time. I ended the book feeling like I gained a new best friend. 

There were also a lot of diverse and interesting side characters. Each character was unique and I ended up loving all of them. I loved the squad vibes that the characters gave in this book! I bonded with all the characters and they all have stolen my heart. I hope to learn more about the side characters in the next books because I think we have more to discover about them. 

I especially fell in love with two of the main male characters in this book. They were both extremely swoon-worthy and wonderful characters. I don't want to spoil anything, but one of those males was a very morally gray character, which I was LIVING FOR. He was extremely cunning, and he gave me so many Slytherin vibes. He wasn't as prominent as I would have liked in this book, so I hope he plays a more important role in the upcoming books! I SERIOUSLY LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

I don't want to spoil anything about the romance in this book, but I really enjoyed the romance. At first, the romance felt a bit like insta-love because the characters seemed a bit obsessive, but then the romance actually slowed down. The romance then starting developing at a more believable pace and it became a lot more alluring. The romance was full of swoon-worthy moments and steamy kisses that made my heart soar. I am hoping to see it develop more in the next book. I WANT MORE KISSES!!!!!

But, also, I ship Roar with my Slytherin baby more so I am HIGHKEY hoping that happens in book two. *fingers crossed*

Overall, this was a fast-paced and enchanting novel! I would recommend this to people who are looking for an intriguing fantasy filled with romance!

I was going to have to find some way to cope with this. If not, I was better off calling Mr. Summers and suggesting he find someone else to take over his daughter-watch.

I felt a pang of something at that thought. It was a general kind of discomfort, and I wasn’t sure whether it was the thought of returning home or something else that made that thought so unappealing.

After the cooling walk earlier, and now standing under the cool, calming rush of water, it was easier to think that I could control myself, but I knew better. It always seemed easier in my head than it really was.

I wiped the water from my eyes, and tried to think of some other way to deal. There was always the hope that Kelsey would get bored. That she would mellow out. If she only partied a couple nights a week, I should be able to resist. But that seemed unlikely.

All that restless energy; the way she’d soaked up the attention from the people around her. I couldn’t see her giving that up. And it was working for her. She was still in the phase where partying made her feel good. That was the one thing that helped me stay clean. The few times I’d slipped up since I started the program had left me miserable and angry, and even more frustrated than when I started. I’d found new ways to chase the high. And maybe that wasn’t any healthier, not when one way involved being in the midst of flying bullets.

It wasn’t the same kind of rush, but it did the trick. I pictured Kelsey again, laughing with her head thrown back, her shirt falling off her shoulder and displaying the gentle curve of her neck. It reminded me of the way she’d tossed her head back that first day out in the woods.

The memory of that caused a different kind of rush in me, and I groaned, pressing my forehead into the tile. Before I could help myself, I pictured her long legs straddling that guy in the gardens. The bright green material of her bra, and the way it conformed to her perfect chest. She leaned back, her fingertips trailing from the bark of the tree to his shoulders.

In an instant, the memory shifted into fantasy, and those were my shoulders she clung to, not his.

That was my undoing. There was only so much resisting I could do in one night.

Faking It

Faking It is about Cade Winston. If you read Losing It you know Cade.
Cade is heartbroken at the beginning of the book. He is trying really hard to get over someone (we know her) and his prayers are answered.  He is minding his own business when a girl approaches him and asks him for help.  The name of the girl is Max Miller. Her parents are in town and they won't approve of her current boyfriend so she needs someone wholesome pronto.  Since Cade is an actor he agrees to play the part of the doting boyfriend.  Max's parents love Cade and soon Max needs Cade for more than a day.  The crazy part is that she doesn't mind having him around.  Do opposites really attract ??

I love Cade. He is a hot guy with a golden heart.  He is super sweet and very patient with Max.  Max has to deal with some demons before she is free to love herself and Cade. I wish she would have dealt with those earlier on in the book but it all made sense in the end.
I definitely recommend this series.  The next one is already on my TBR.

Keeping Her (Losing It #1.5) by Cora Carmack

Keeping Her

Keeping Her is a novella. It happens months after the events in Losing It.  Bliss and Garrick are traveling to England to meet his parents. Poor Bliss is freaking out about it. We get both POV's.
Bliss still has some insecurities and Garrick sometimes thinks that he has to do what's best for them instead of what's best for them in the long term.
I enjoyed meeting his friends too.  Both of Garrick's friends are book-worthy.
This is a fast read. If you like Garrick as much as I do, you will enjoy this little treat Cora Carmack gives us.

Losing It (Losing It #1) by Cora Carmack

Bliss Edwards is in college. She however has decided that it may be time to loose her virginity. Her best friend convinces her to go out and have a one night stand. Bliss is not sure about it but goes with her anyway. On her way to the restroom she encounters a very attractive man who is reading. She strikes up a conversation with him. He is British and the accent does crazy things to her. She decides to take him home. But when they are almost naked she leaves her apartment and runs away with the excuse that she forgot to pick up her cat.
So what does she do...yep, she gets a cat later on.
To her dismay, when she goes to school it turns out that Garrick, Mr. Taylor, is her new teacher, as well as the man with whom she almost had sex the night before.
They tried to resist each other, even more so when they figure out they are neighbors too.
Garrick is hot, sweet and possessive. My Garrick is a little older than the model in the cover.
This story is believable, the dialogue is funny at times and the epilogue is sweet. I thought the part when they both got sick and took care of each other was so tender.
