Charley is recovering from the attack she suffered in the last book. She is having big time issues with agoraphobia. She has been buying multiple unnecessary things through the shopping channel and the boxes are covering the chair where she was tortured. She calls this area of her apartment Area 51. It has been two months since she has worked.
When a new client comes knocking she can't say no and when everyone thinks the young woman is lying, the more Charlie believes her.
She also breaks the two month no contact with Reyes Farrow, the son of Satan. She goes out and looks for him. She discovers he is performing cage fighting but it seems like he also may be fighting real demons too.
We get a glimpse of Donovan a couple of times that makes you want more interaction between him and Charley (sorry Reyes for cheating on you). Donovan is so well written. A biker with a great heart. (I may have a weakness for them- SOA Jax, Tack Motorcycle Man).
Book four has a nice flow, some action, a great scene between Reyes and Charley. Donovan is a plus. Her guardian is cute.

Death and the Girl Next Door (Darklight #1) by Darynda Jones
Lorelei McAlister is a high school student. She has two very good friends. They particularly have been nice to her this week. It it the anniversary of her parents disappearance Lorelei can see visions. She sees a vision she can't understand when she touches a boy. She later sees the same boy at school.
She also notices another high school classmate following her around. His name is Cameron Lusk and he used to be close to her. Now, he is a loner. The two boys seem to hate each other and Lorelei seems to be in the middle.
Soon she discovers what both men are. Her life is all upside down.
I decided to read this YA book because of Miss Jones. I love her adult series. I like that there is NO LOVE TRIANGLE in this book. It made it easy to enjoy. There is a subplot with her secondary characters that keep you interested as well.

Third Grave Dead Ahead (Charley Davidson #3) by Darynda Jones
Charley Davison is trying to stay awake. Every time she doesn't, she interacts with Reyes. "Big Bad" is not happy with her since she bound him to his human body.
At the same time, she is trying to solve a case. The case involves a doctor who may have killed his wife. He has a history of being possessive and vengeful. When she goes to Rocket for help, he can't find her name on the wall. This is were we meet a new male character Donovan. He is a biker guy and he likes dogs. At some point her hires Charley too.
We learned more about Reyes and his human life, we get a glimpse of his friendships and relationship with his sister.
To makes matter worse it seems like Earl Walker may be alive and this could mean Reyes would get his freedom unless Walker kills everyone who may know the truth first.
I feel bad for Charley, she doesn't seem to have very good luck and getting hurt all the time is not fun to read. I don't know how I feel about Reyes or Garrett. I mean I love Big Bad and I want him to end with Charlie but Garrett is an interesting guy too. So is Donovan.
