Unwound starts a few weeks later after Bound ends.

Ronin threw himself into fighting to deal with his emotional pain. He's hurting in more ways than one. He misses Amery more than what he wants to admit to himself.

When a fight goes wrong, he ends up bloody and confused at Amery's door steps. Amery can't believe the shape he's in and the hospital is the only choice. For Ronin, learning that he might never fight again could be devastating.  Thank the heavens Amery is there to distract him. Ropes can be a great distraction for this Rope Master sensei.

Great conclusion to Amery and Ronin's love story. Most of the book is written from Ronin's POV. He's adjusting to big changes in his life. His business is growing and he'll have more responsibilities. Amery's business is also growing but in order for them to survive as a couple they'll learn how to communicate and discard secrets from their lives. 

“We are together. That means I don’t look at another woman the way I look at you. I don’t touch another woman the way I touch you. I don’t feel about any woman the way I feel about you. Got it? Don’t ever think I’d throw away what we have for a cheap, meaningless fuck. You either trust me, or you don’t. So what’s it going to be?”

Ronin also ends up doing a couple of favors for two business men, bringing new characters into the fold, which I hope will get their own book in this series.  

I can't wait for Knox & Shiori / Deacon & Molly's books.

This short story was just what I needed, more Ronin Black!

Nothing big or dramatic happens, so don't go into this book expecting something mind-blowing.  Instead, take it for what it is.  More, Ronin and Amery.  It's been six months since they tied the knot and they haven't been able to take a honeymoon. Ronin has to go to Japan for six weeks to train with his sensei and Amery decides to tag along.  His training schedule is brutal and the trip doesn't go exactly as Amery imagined, but they end up so much closer.

I enjoyed this quick read.  My only wish was that we were given a glimpse of their wedding.  Even a quick look back or a sweet memory.  I wanted something. I'm hoping that we get to see more of them in Shiori's book.

Just what I needed, a little more Roning and Amery!

Months after they got married, they are finally taking time off for their honeymoon. 

They fly to Japan with a double purpose, alone time for the lovers and for Ronin to do his annual intense training sessions with his sensei. Their time together improves their communication as a couple and I love that Amery is able to surprise Master Black in a big way.

The story is short and I found myself wanting more.  I sure hope I see more of them in the next few books. 

I can't personally wait for Deacon and Molly's story.
