T.A. by Jamie Begley

Title: T.A.
Series: Biker Bitches #6
Author: Jamie Begley
Release date: December 1, 2018

Cuffing season was supposed to be about finding a hook-up to keep her warm during the cold Kentucky winter nights. T.A. wasn’t looking for Mr. Right; she just wanted Mr. Available.

That was before she met Dalton Andrews. The widower was nursing a broken heart, and the only thing he wanted was a woman to take his grown kids’ minds off worrying about him.

It was supposed to be a trade-off—he would keep her warm and toasty during the nights, and she would put up a smokescreen in front of his kids during the days. It was a win-win situation.

That was until the famous actor decided he wanted out of the deal and Mr. Available was a no-show during the biggest snowstorm of the year.

Poor schmuck didn’t realize that all the drama he had experienced in Tinseltown was nothing compared to dealing with this bitch.

I'm sad this one didn't work for me. I didn't feel like there was a big conflict that needed a big resolution.

I'm not sure why I'm not connecting with this author's writing anymore. I missed her earlier work terribly. My favorite parts are always when the old characters appear as cameos.

I had a hard time relating to the main couple. I didn't feel the love between T.A. and Dalton. Most of the book passes with T.A. following Dalton. Throwing herself at him. While T.A. is all over him, Dalton spends his time mourning the loss of his wife. Even though she died a few years ago, he misses "his soulmate", which he's not afraid to tell T.A. Just exactly what a woman wants to hear. T.A. deserved so much better than a guy still in love with his dead wife. Don't get me wrong, I liked Dalton, I just don't think it was the one for her. I felt that she settled for Dalton instead of having a man who was head over heels in love with her.

The other thing that bothers me about T.A.'s book is the lack of resolution about Grace and Ice's issues. I loved them as a couple and knowing they were having issues which were not explained well didn't make sense.

There is a good spoiler that made me excited about the next Last Rider's book. I do hope this one takes me back to loving this world again.

Will I read the next book? Absolutely, I just can't let this series go.

Crazy B!tch by Jamie Begley

Title: Crazy B!tch
Series: Biker Bitches #5
Author: Jamie Begley
Release Date: September 14, 2017
Publisher: Young Ink Press

My mother used to have a saying for everything.

“You can’t be pretty and lucky.”
She wasn’t pretty or lucky.

“You have to kiss a lot of toads before you find your Prince Charming.”
I kissed too many of those. Sorry, but Prince Charming isn’t in Hicktown, Kentucky.

“The good ones go to Heaven; the bad ones go to Hell.”
Guess I’m going to Hell.

“Hell is paved with good intentions.”
Surprisingly, that one is true. Why? Because ...

I intended to stay away from Calder Riggs.
I intended not to fall in love with him.
I intended to find a man who wasn’t a loser or a joker.
Oh well, I’ve never been afraid of Hell, anyway.

That’s why I’m Crazy Bitch!

"I can be the man you're looking for."

It's hard to rate this book. I'm kinda disappointed in it. I'm so used to more drama and my heart breaking with multiple crying spells but Crazy B!tch didn't have these components. Don't get me wrong, the book is good is just not what I'm used to when I read a JB's novel.

Crazy B!tch has known Calder Riggs for many years. Once, she was infatuated with him but he messed up by not showing up to her home at the right time. Instead, he was with someone else and high as a kite. Crazy B!tch doesn't give second chances. She has given too many already to other people and she's done. She wants to find a nice guy and settle down like most of her girlfriends have.

Calder Riggs knows he made a lot of mistakes. He hurt his brother, the MC and Crazy B!tch. He has never forgotten her and seeing her with a looser doesn't help. He knows they can have something good if only she will give him a chance.

I love Calder. He owns up to his past mistakes and transgressions and he's trying to make amends to all the ones he wronged. He knows he hurt so many but he will live the rest of his life clean and dedicated to his club and family.

Crazy B!tch was not as crazy as I thought she could be. She was loyal to a fault and she just wanted to feel loved and supported. She could defend herself and her friends. She didn't give her heart lightly but once she did, she was all in.

There were a lot of things I liked about this book. First, the Treasure Hunt and the one behind it, Greer. He has this evil funny side and loves to torture the Last Riders which made me love him even more. Then there was Gavin. My heart broke for him. It was so nice to see his brother and Calder trying to help him heal. I can't wait to see who's the lucky gal to steal his heart. As for the funny moments, I can tell you, they were plenty. Penni provided a lot of them. I was in stitches laughing. Poor guys, that's all I'm going to say about it.

One thing, I wish Jamie would have expanded more is about Lucky and his ordeal. I wanted to be a fly in the Last Rider's compound and hear everything those characters were going through. Hopefully, we learn more on the next Last Rider's book.

I can't finish my review without saying how much I enjoy this crazy world and how Jamie Begley has made me fall for so many characters and their stories.

Merry Blissmas by Jamie Begley

Title: Merry Blissmas
Series: Biker Bitches #3
Author: Jamie Begley

Naughty
What can I say? I’m not a nice person. When I walk by, people call me a slut, and I’m okay with that. I believe in calling a spade a spade. I am a slut.

With the holidays approaching, I miss belonging to The Last Riders. Drake’s keeping me warm, but he wants more than I can give. He wants me to trust him, to believe he can protect me. Doesn’t he know Santa put me on the Naughty List long ago?

Nice
What can I say? I’m a nice guy and have always done the responsible thing.

Bliss is everything I shouldn’t want, but it’s hard to resist a woman who stopped believing in miracles. She wants to be back with The Last Riders, whom she considers her true family. Doesn’t she know it’s Christmas, and miracles do happen?

If you read my prior reviews on this series, you know I don't like Bliss. I wasn't looking forward to her book. I just knew I couldn't relate to her after all the wrongs she had caused to the members of the MC.  After reading it, I found myself not hating her. She's still not my favorite person.

So what did I like about the book?

First I really liked Drake. He was determined to make Bliss believe she was worth it to him. He helped her regain her confidence, provided a sense of security and try to make her feel a part of a family.

Second,  the appearance of all the secondary characters. I got a little more Cash, Greer, Shade, Sex Piston, Rachel and some new characters were introduced. I also learned how Rider got his name.

Third, it made me super excited for Train and Killyama's book. I know it's going to be awesome!

Overall, I liked it. It didn't redeem Bliss in my eyes, but at least now I can tolerate her.

There was no such thing as home. It was a fictional word to describe a house, just like the people who lived in them calling themselves a family. As soon as trouble hit their door, however, they were quick to throw in the towel and toss it all away, exactly like she had.
Every single time she had begun to believe she had a home when she was younger, she would come home from school to find her meager possessions sitting outside a padlocked door and her mother explaining they had to find a new place to stay. What followed were weeks at homeless shelters until she could make enough money to rent them another small place.
It became normal to see a stranger taking her mother in a dark alley or the backseat of their car while she would patiently wait for her in whatever fast food restaurant was closest. She would eat her small hamburger and fries slowly so she wouldn’t get strange looks from people wondering why she was sitting by herself so long.
But she was older and wiser. She could find a place to sleep anywhere, but she would never put her belief in having the dream of a perfect home with a white picket fence.
Even being a member of The Last Riders hadn’t prevented her from losing the room she had thought of as hers. She had been able to share her bed or one of the brothers’ if she had wanted, but she had also had the option of closing the door and being left alone when she had wanted to curl up on her bed and watch television or read a book while knowing the other members would still be there when she opened the door.
She was on her own, though. Neither the men nor the women talked to her anymore. Bliss knew it was because of her own behavior, but it still fucking hurt. They could have stuck a knife in her stomach, and she would have remained loyal to them.
Her mom had always told her to obey the rules of whatever house they lived in, because it wasn’t their home and they could be thrown out. Her mother had been right.
She had learned a lot of hard lessons in her life, but leaving The Last Riders had been the hardest of all.

"I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.
Taking after my mother, I've always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.
For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

Fat Louise (Biker Bitches #2) by Jamie Begley

Fat Louise

MrsLeif's Review

Jane "Fat Louise", (what a name!) is not fat, she does eat a lot and frequently. She's usually the quiet one in this girl biker's group. She trusts her friends to defend her and keep her safe but when her half sister is in trouble in Mexico, she's determined to save her and bring her back home without endangering her girlfriends.

Cade Reed is a mercenary, when Fat Louise's dad pays him to rescue the two girls, he can't turn down the money. When he meets them, he can't seem to decide what to do with them and letting go of Jane is harder than he thinks. Life gets only more complicated when Cade decides to check out the MC life.

So I have learned to enjoy this world. This world were the heroes are not perfect. Not by a long haul. Sometimes it makes me so mad that I see red. Regardless, by the end I have forgiven these bastards and just like the heroine, they have my heart.
Cade made me furious at times. Man up dude! came to mind more than once but like I said in the end all was forgiven.
I loved Jane and I wished she didn't have to suffer so much pain in her life. Luckily, she has killer girlfriends. Killyama and Sex Piston especially. Thanks to Killyama we get some Last Riders cameos.
I wonder who's next in this series...

"Run, Jane, but when you get tired, I'll still be here. I'm not going anywhere."

Release Day Blast
Fat Louise (Biker Bitches, #2)
by Jamie Begley

Biker Bitches # 2
Jamie Begley
Releasing Jan 23rd, 2015
Young Ink Press

Synopsis

She needed a hero; instead, she got Cade.

Cade was no hero. He was a nomad, a wanderer with no ties and he liked it that way. Hired out to save Fat Louise and her spoiled sister from a cartel run Mexican city was a risk he was willing to take, for the right price. With a certain gray eyed woman on his mind, he sets out to find her, fuck her and forget her. No harm, no foul. But it's all easier said than done when it comes to this plain Jane.

He expected a biker bitch who knew the rules; instead, he got Fat Louise.

Fat Louise wasn’t about to put her crew in danger. She had to learn to handle problems on her own, even if they included a six-foot biker she was forced to rely on, if she was going to rescue her sister. She never expected to see Cade again after she'd left Mexico, but all it takes is one night with him to prove that even a bitch’s heart can be broken.

Sex Piston (Biker Bitches #1) by Jamie Begley

Sex Piston
Sex Piston is The Last Rider's spinoff.

The story begins with Sex Piston defying Stud. She knows the new President of the Destructors, Stud wants her but she doesn't want to give him the time of the day. She knows his type and she wants to stay clear of him and his men. She has forbidden any of her friends to let the Blue Horsemen near them.

Stud is the president of The Blue Horsemen and now he's also the president of the Destructors. He knows Sex Piston is not going to give in easy but he's determined to win.

They both prepare for battle with neither wanting to be the loser.

My thoughts:

I was a little worried before starting this novel because I didn't know if I was going to like Sex Piston as the heroine. She came across as a tough biker girl with a bad temper.
In a way she was the complete opposite. Don't get me wrong, she was still a biker girl with an attitude but she has a great heart. She is loyal to a fault and when she lets someone in her inner circle, they are lucky to be there.

The story is told in a smooth way. Plenty of action and plenty of romance. We get both POV's. There are tons of funny situations but I also cried 3 times.

I can't wait for the other girls Killyama, Crazy Bitch, T.A, Fat Louise to get their own books. I hope one of them gets a crossover with one of the Last Riders.

I really enjoyed this one. I'm reading Shade's Fail next.
