True Divide (True #3)
by Liora Blake

Spitfire Lacey Mosely feels stuck in a life she didn’t necessarily want. But will she find a happy ending with the man who broke her heart? Liora Blake concludes her witty and poignant True series with this spirited romance.

What do you do when the one boy you were never quite able to forget lands on your doorstep?

Lacey Mosely feels stuck: in her rural town of Crowell, Montana, at her job as manager of The Beauty Barn, and in her lackluster love life. Enter Jake Holt, one-time misfit and Lacey’s secret high school love. Ten years later, Jake is a private pilot whose travels take him all over the world, and once he shows up in Lacey’s life again—at the most unexpected time—he can’t seem to stay away. Now it’s up to Lacey to decide if she’s ready to let go of the past…and take a leap of faith for love.

I love this book! I actually love the series.

When Lacey appeared as a character on True North, I wasn't sure I was going to like her until she took care of Kate when she had her little break down. Then, she could have been a problem in True Devotion but she wasn't.

Lacey Mosely likes to dress up, wear make up and wear expensive shoes. She has worked at the same store since she was a teenager. Her life is in Crowell, Montana and she is happy that way. Nevertheless, she does long for a love like her sister has. She has dated the Sheriff who used to be a QB but her heart has always belonged to just one man, Jake Holt.

Jake was the troubled teenager who moved to a new town. He was the one other teenagers steered clear of except for the cheerleader, prom queen Lacey. He was in love with her but the town had nothing but bad memories for him so he left as soon as he was old enough. He wanted to make something of his life. After years of hard work he is now a private pilot. Fate brings him back to the small town of Crowell and to his first love Lacey.

I can't tell you how much I loved this book. Lacey and Jack had a true connection. This was their needed second chance at happiness.

It was great seeing how the other characters lives were progressing too.

I'm going to miss these characters.

True Devotion (True #2) by Liora Blake

Devon Jenkins is trying to move forward. She dates guys who don't intimidate her. She stays away from anyone who can really hurt her. She has scars from her last real relationship when she placed her trust in the wrong hands.  For the last two years, she has been attracted to the guitar player from her brother's band, Simon. However, she keeps him at arms length to avoid developing feelings for him.

Simon Cole is Trex's manwhore guitarist. Or so he wants people to think. The reality is different. Simon has experienced loss, he has a good heart and he volunteers to help people in need. He likes to read, play the piano and has a geeky side. He also has been waiting for the chance to make Devon really look at him beyond the guy who she likes to spar words with. Simon has been patient and he knows his reward is coming.

~~
I love True North and I knew I liked Liora Blake's writing style. I couldn't wait to read Simon and Devon's story. I knew some things about Simon but in True Devotion, I got to know him pretty well. He was sweet, tender, smart and nothing like the player I thought he was.

Devon was scared of getting hurt again. She had trouble with her self worth and was constantly second guessing Simon's intentions. It takes someone as patient as Simon to show her that she could open her heart to love again. He was truly devoted to making her feel special. He was also pretty hot, making their love story pretty spicy.

True North (True #1) by Liora Blake

True North

Kate Mosely is a novelist. When she's invited to a Hollywood show to discuss her book she also meets the band and the hot lead singer Trevor “Trax” Jenkins. She notices him and he reciprocates her interest.  The look they share on live TV will change their future forever.

For Kate things are not easy. She lives in Montana. She is a widow and she misses her husband terribly. The first time she feels anything is when she meets Trevor. These new feelings are exhilarating but also terrifying at the same time. She is scared of loving deeply again and Trevor has the potential to destroy her. Loosing him would be unbearable.

Trevor has been a famous rock star for a while. He's matured and he's ready to give this relationship a chance. He will do anything in his power to spend the free time they both have to be together. But Trevor wants to make sure she's also ready to move forward.

"Katie, if you’re watching, thanks for everything the last few months, baby. I love you.”

I love this book. The relationship progression played just the right way. No insta- love. Their long distance relationship was difficult but not impossible. I understand the guilty feelings she had. What she has experienced, has marked her. Letting go of the past and letting Trevor enter her heart and take over it was not an easy quest.

I really loved Trevor. He was everything she needed and didn’t know she did. He entered her life at the right time. He was swoon worthy.

“I promise. I won’t leave. I won’t ever leave you, Katie.”

As far as the secondary characters go, I think Kate's sister needs a book. I’m very intrigued in regards to who she left behind.

Every once in awhile, a book comes along that’s a true standout. One that’s special enough to consume my every thought and make me wish the story would never end.  A case of opposites attract, Trevor and Kate’s story was exactly that.  Their connection was undeniable, intense and full of pretty great banter.

Kate is a country girl at heart. She still calls the small Montana town she grew up in home. She lost her husband three years ago and she’s been consumed with guilt and regret ever since.  Her book, which has become a best seller, lands her a guest appearance on a late-night talk show in L.A.

The infamous, Trax also happens to be appearing on the show the same night. Described as a thug, he was more Eminem in my eyes, than any other rockstar I could conjure up. He’s been living the lifestyle for years, touring, screwing groupies and getting arrested.  He’s garnered quite a reputation for himself.  But underneath the Trax persona, is Trevor.  The real, honest, genuine, and often vulnerable guy. Like Kate, it was impossible for me not to fall for him.

It’s in the green room of the late-night show that Kate and Trevor meet for the first time.  I thought it was cute that Kate really had no idea who he was. From first glance, there’s a connection and when they end up on stage together, it turns into shameless flirting. He tracks down her number and takes her to dinner, which changes everything for both of them.

“I wanted to make sure I got under your skin, because I wanted you to be as deep into me as I was into you.”

There was something so different about Trevor and I couldn’t get enough of him. I think it was his honesty and willingness to be vulnerable with Kate.  He always told her exactly what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to give chase the few times she was scared off or second guessing herself.  And to top it off, he was a bad boy with a huge heart.  Who doesn't love a bad boy?

“I’ve never loved a woman before. Not like this. Only you.”

To say Trevor and Kate were HOT together is an understatement. There aren’t adequate words to describe the intensity and deep connection they shared. Throughout the whole book, I found myself laughing, smiling or swooning at the things they would say to each other.  That’s what makes a story great in my eyes.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

“Will you let me love you forever, Kate?”
