Zara Cinders's life is a mess. She is divorcing, she lost her home, she has lost herself.
She can't count on her family and doesn't want charity. To her surprise the man she has loved for years comes back into her life and is offering to help her get back on her feet.
He is the new manager at the bar that they used to work together years back. He is tall and smoking hot.
"Yeesh, didn't know a bear matin' with a human could create somethin' that divine but there it is. Proof, "
Graham "Ham" Reese has been a nomad almost all his adult life. He walked away from Zara a few years ago and that hurt him. He thought he was not the man she needed. Now, he wants her and won't stop until he can convince her that they are meant to be together.
“Let me get this straight,” Maybelline, my friend, my boss, a plump, attractive black lady in her forties, sitting across from me in the break room of Deluxe Home Store, started. “You and this boy were together years ago. He took off. You both carried on an on-and-off fling for years. Mostly off. You let him go to explore things with Greg. He got axed by a psycho, you gave him a call, he shows, you rip into each other, now he’s livin’ in Gnaw Bone, and, yesterday, you moved in with him?”
If you have read any Kristen Ashley's books, you know her heroes are all alphas. Ham is definitely one of them. He is also mention in a prior book, For You (He used to date February Owens).
You know what I like the best about her books? Is that everyone seems real. They have real jobs, down to earth attitude and you wish you were part of their inner group. It doesn't matter if you want to be a Rock Chick, a Dream Man, a Colorado or a 'Burg. You know you want in. I know I do.
Kristen Ashley is my go to writer. I will buy anything she writes. Some I like more than others but she transports me somewhere else for half a day. Can't beat that.
"It's always been you"
