Kiss Me (Fool's Gold #17)
by Susan Mallery

Phoebe Kitzke has been suspended from her job. Her last attempt at helping others almost landed her in jail. She has a big heart and sometimes people take advantage of her. She is determined to stop helping everyone. This lasts about 2.4 seconds when her best friend Maya asks her for her help with a family situation. Maya needs someone to create a diversion between her step-brothers Zane and Chase and she thinks Phoebe can do it. Phoebe can't say no and in the blink of an eye she finds herself on the ranch owned by Zane. The hot cowboy is definitely interesting to say the least.

Zane Nicholson is about to loose his patience. His younger brother created a scheme and now he's getting people traveling to his land for a cattle drive. He decides to teach his brother a lesson in responsibility. He makes the cattle drive a real thing,  making sure his brother works hard during it. What he wasn't expecting was to fall for the city girl her sister sends his way.

I'm new to Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series. I recently read Hold Me and knew she had me as reader forever.
Kiss me was sweet loving story.
It was hard not to like Phoebe with her big heart and her love of nature and animals. Her talks with Manny were too funny.
Zane was the typical reclusive and taciturn guy. He likes his peace and quiet. But, Phoebe was there to open his eyes to what he was missing. I love their first kiss.
Zane was also very patient with his brother and the mess he created.
The side story lines also grabbed my attention and I was happy with their conclusion too.

Cliffhanger: No
