'Til Death ('Til Death #1) by Bella Jewel

'Til Death

Marcus Tandem needs a wife in order to inherit his father's business. He is ruthless and practical. He's desperate looking for right woman. As part of the will, he must remained married for 2 years. Turns out that finding her was not difficult for him. He's very attractive and exudes power. Usually women flock to him, but he never calls them again. When he meets Katia he knows she is the one.

Tell me how you want this to go, precious.

Katia just wanted a night out away of all responsibilities. She wanted to have fun. Marcus was the epitome of what a night of fun can bring. The next morning she runs out on him, something that Marcus is not used too. He's the one who leaves them wanting more. And so, the cat and mouse chase begins and convincing Katia to stay and be his wife is another story.

"Til Death is a part of a duet. It helps tremendously to have a dual POV. Otherwise, Marcus would have been a hateful protagonist. Thankfully, Bella knew better. She humanizes him.
It was painful to read how much Katia falls for him. I hurt when Katia hurts every time Marcus cuts her with his abrasive behavior.  Katia was a hard worker, a good friend and a caring daughter.
I sure hope she gets her happy ending.
