Katia just wanted a night out away of all responsibilities. She wanted to have fun. Marcus was the epitome of what a night of fun can bring. The next morning she runs out on him, something that Marcus is not used too. He's the one who leaves them wanting more. And so, the cat and mouse chase begins and convincing Katia to stay and be his wife is another story.
"Til Death is a part of a duet. It helps tremendously to have a dual POV. Otherwise, Marcus would have been a hateful protagonist. Thankfully, Bella knew better. She humanizes him.
It was painful to read how much Katia falls for him. I hurt when Katia hurts every time Marcus cuts her with his abrasive behavior. Katia was a hard worker, a good friend and a caring daughter.
I sure hope she gets her happy ending.
