Four Score |
The saga continues and it's really hard to write a review without giving any spoilers away.
Let's just say Juliette's plan is not working the way it should. Dornan may be down for the count temporarily but not yet eliminated.
“What I want is to throw you up against this wall and erase any trace of him ever touching you. What I want is for you to be mine, and mine only.”
“What I want is to throw you up against this wall and erase any trace of him ever touching you. What I want is for you to be mine, and mine only.”
Jase needs to make some decisions soon. Does he love Juliette enough to protect her? To let her seek revenge? Or does he walk away from her? Turn her in?
“Damn it, Julz, you could burn the whole world down and I’d still forgive you.”
“Damn it, Julz, you could burn the whole world down and I’d still forgive you.”
And let's not forget poor Elliot, who loves her unconditionally but doesn't know for how long he can keep her alive.
Four Score runs a little bit slower than the other books. I didn't like this one as much as I liked the other ones. It may be because I was expecting a little more action.
Also, I'm not sure I believe were the story line is going next. I have serious doubts about Juliette surviving in this environment. I feel bad for her.
What more can she take? Hasn't she suffered enough?
I guess I'll have to wait and see.
"The score’s only at four. And until it’s at seven? Love will have to wait."
