Delilah was brought up thinking her beauty is a curse. She hates it. She also believes that her only way to redemption is to serve her religious cult. When she's removed from it and taken to the MC compound she is completely upset. These men are without religion and the worst of them all is Ky, the MC VP. He's always surrounded by women and his language is crass. She wants nothing more than to return to her people and continue her punishment.
Kyler "Ky" Willis likes nothing more than to have fun. He likes his life the way it is. He's not sure the Pilgrim Blonde should stay, but when he is forced to spend time with her, her innocence makes him regret some parts of his life. Getting to know her changes him. Together, they are better than apart but the cult won't give up trying to get her back.
The story is gritty. Is not a sweet ride by any means. Lilah is completely brainwashed. She wants nothing to do with the MC. She is the opposite of Mae. She believes every lie the cult has fed her. It made me very sad.
Ky was an MC guy to the bone. I liked how he matured over time. He was sweet to Lilah, very patient and he didn't give up on her.
I wished I had liked this one as much as I loved It Ain't Me, Babe. It was not the case. The horrible things that Delilah endures are just awful. I was hoping for more romance and less pain after everything these girls have already suffered. Also Rider is not redeemable in my eyes anymore. He is done. However, this won't stop me from buying the next book.
"I knew one thing. I fuckin’ loved the bitch. I was fuckin’ in love with the bat shit-crazy pilgrim blonde."
