Salvation by Noelle Adams

Salvation
This book pulled me from the first chapter.

It is a story that needs to be told.

Diana is a young woman who has a rich father. Her life changes when she is kidnapped by Albanian organized crime family who are trying to hurt her father. She is taken while walking down a regular street. Once they arrive to a house she is locked in a room with a man. His name is Gideon Walker and he is an undercover FBI agent who blew his cover and now is a captive too.

Later on, men come back into the room and grab her again after hurting Gideon while he was trying to protect her. In the end she is raped and then return to the same room. Soon after they are both rescued by the FBI but the damage has already been done.

Salvation is a story about healing. Is not the usual book. The writing feels real. I felt every emotion Diana and Gideon felt.

Diana feels dirty, unworthy, and once Gideon makes his desire to be more than a friends known, she pushes him away only to break when she thinks he has moved on.

Gideon was a perfect friend and later on boyfriend. He was so patient, sweet and reassuring. Through most of the book I thought that Gideon could be the only one who could help her heal. His heartfelt devotion to Diana is commendable and gratifying.

You’re my heart and my partner and my lover and my helper and the best friend I’ve ever had in the world.”

I fell in love with him and it broke my heart when Diana hurt him.
But don't despair, Noelle Adams gives us an awesome finale and I couldn't be happier. Now, I have to go buy the rest of her books.

“You’re the light that shines on the dark places of my soul"
