Nash (Marked Men #4) by Jay Crownover

Nash
In one night, Nash Donovan had so many truths revealed to him at once that he doesn't know if he should scream or hit something instead. His uncle is really his dad who is dying from cancer and his mother has lied to him his whole life.

Thankfully Saint Ford is there to prevent him from doing either.

Saint had a crush on Nash while they were in high school. They have their lockers next to each other and Nash was always nice to her despite her having acne and being a little overweight. That is until he breaks her heart when he chooses a popular girl at a party instead of her. That night and later on, a misunderstanding makes her distrust men and she avoids having a serious relationship with anyone. She thinks she hates Nash and in Rome she tries to avoid him but when his dad is sick she really can't seem to stay away.

Nash doesn't understand why the cute nurse hates him but also seems to help him when he needs her the most.

"It’s how we deal with the things that hurt us most that defines us.”

With time he wants something more with Saint, if only she would stop running away from him.
It is up to Nash to break down all her walls.

“I don’t know that you would like me once you got to know me, and the Nash I thought I knew . . .” She looked so lost all I wanted to do was give her a hug. “I hated him, but you . . . this Nash . . . all I do is want him.”

I luv Nash. He was sweet and so patient. It hurt me to read the pain he was going through. He and his friends made this book another winner. I wish Saint's insecurities didn't last as long as they did. I could understand why she had them but she should have gotten over it once she realized Nash was a good guy.

“You undo me, Saint.” “I’m sorry.” He sighed and rolled over so that he could pull me on top of his chest. “Just try and put me back together when you’re done with me, all right?”

As secondary characters go, the clan is all back and we get a few cameos of the new girls to come. I specially like Royal (the cop) and Salem (the future manager). Rowdy and Ash will be fun to read.
