Riot (Scarred Souls #4) by Tillie Cole

Stolen by the Arziani Georgian crime mob as a child, 152 was raised and conditioned to be a Mona—the most subservient of the Arziani Blood Pit slaves.

Gorgeous and kind, she has been and under the imprisoning influence of the Type B drug and under the command of the Blood Pit Master’s sister, Mistress Arziani, for most of her life, until the Master calls her back home to Georgia.

He wants her under his total control, and Master always gets what he wants.

But when 152 is gifted to the Blood Pit’s fearsome champion death match fighter as a prize, 152 suddenly finds out that the men who appear most brutal, may just own the kindest hearts. And love may be found, even when living in hell.

Freedom, family, love, 152 will have to fight for what she wants and ultimately make an impossible choice.

Riot is the fourth book in the Scarred Souls Series and I'm obsessed! This series is brutal and unlike anything I've read before. The plot is so unique that you can't help but be drawn in by the lives of these characters who struggle to live out each day.  So here we go back to the pit, where everyone is enslaved either to fight or for sex.

901 is a fighter, 152 is a Mona, and because of Blood Pit Master's greediness they are thrown together. A Mona is a sex slave, and 152 is the Master's Mona. He's obsessed with her and it's pretty creepy to tell you the truth. He thinks that by throwing her in the cell of 901, his most powerful fighter, he will be able to control him and bend him to his will, the sick freak! Of course 901 wants nothing to do with 152, but when he's the only one that can save her he has to do something! All while this is happening, 152 doesn't know that she has a brother Valentin who is hell bent on saving her! His clan is getting together a plan to rescue her from the Master at all costs! Eventually everyone is in Georgia and things will go down, but not without a fight. I love these guys! They're so big and strong yet so sweet too! They've all experienced being in the pit and it's no good, so they need to get in and out quickly.

There is so much going on in this story that there was never a dull moment! This book is definitely brutal and sickening at times, but also tender and almost to the point of bewitching as these characters learn to grasp what's happening to them. They are daring to hope, and love, and rely on each other when they've never been able to do so before.

This is a MUST read series for anyone who loves the dark and gritty with a side on tenderness. I don't want to believe that this is the last book!

5/5 Fangs
