Finding Haven by T.A. Foster

Finding Haven
Evan Carlson is tired of his life being scrutinized constantly by paparazzi. After his latest girlfriend cheats on him he decides he had enough and drives away. He ends up in Perry Island when he soon changes his name and forgets about his life with the help of alcohol.
A trip to the local store changes his attitude. The owner's daughter Haven intrigues him and in a moment of spontaneity, he decides to apply for a job at the store.
Evan likes Haven and he wants to get to know her better.

Haven Owen is tired of her life at the Island. She wants to move to the city which will help her become a famous songwriter. She's working at her father's store to pay back her college education.  When Evan starts working there she feels a connection to him and she opens up to him. Soon they become an item.

But what happens when summer is over? Or the lie is revealed?

I like Evan. I could understand why he was tired of the limelight. He wanted a reprieve. A place to relax and do as he pleased without finding a picture of it on a tabloid.

I had more trouble liking Haven. I understood her desire to get her music out but she made it sound like she couldn't wait to get out of the small town, even though, everyone had been nice to her.  She was a bit immature for my taste at the beginning of the book, she got better later on.
