The Gypsy Brothers second installment starts off right where
Seven Sons ended. Dornan is mourning the
loss of his oldest son, Chad, and trying to piece together who's behind his unexpected
death. Meanwhile, Sammi is reveling in
Dornan's sadness and plotting the murder of the next brother on her hit list. Her love for Jase is the only thing that
makes her second guess her need for retribution.
While it's obvious they have a connection, he hasn't figured out she's really
Juliette.
"I'm not doing this because I'm strong. I'm doing this because I'm scared of the
monster in my head. The monster in my
bed, the one who killed my father. The
monster who destroyed me. I'm doing this
because I just want to be able to sleep at night without seeing his face. That's not strength. That's desperation."
Dark, twisted, shocking, unexpected.....these are the words
I would use to describe this series. I'm in
awe of Sammi and her determination to get revenge. The heinous things she's willing to suffer through to
avenge her father's murder and her own rape is amazing to me. I just can't get enough. The writing is great, the story line has
me hooked, and if I was going to judge a book by it's cover I would devour all of these. I'm really excited for Five Miles!
