Sloane Evans has loved Killian for years. She has wanted him for a very long time. When tragedy strikes her family, she is left hurt and she also looses Killian in the process. Her life is anything but pretty during her college years.
Killian Brandt is a successful business man. He is also ruthless. He has hated Sloane for the part he believes she played during an awful time in his life.
To Sloane's surprise Killian is back in her life and he is angry and hateful towards her but she can't stop caring for him. Will the heartache ever ends?
The story has potential. Two people who loved each other, separated by lies and now have a second chance at love. Unfortunately, I found both characters lacking. Sloan had no back bone and she let everyone walk over her. I like strong female characters but Sloane was not one of them.
Killian irritated me more than made me swoon. His behavior towards Sloane was hateful and I had a hard time in regard to their sexual encounters. I felt he was rough during them. I also believe that Sloane forgave him to soon. However, the chapter with his POV made a difference.
