MrsLeif's Review

This is my second book by this author. I read Deviant and I liked the writing style. I jumped at the chance to read her new MC book.

Rebel is what I was expecting but at the same time, it was something new too. He's smart, has good friends, he's a good President to the MC, but his lifestyle is a bit different. He's not sleeping with numerous women at the same time or killing for the fun of it.

Rebel wants to keep the MC safe and he seeks vengeance. Los Oscuros killed someone he cared for and since Sophia is the only witness to the crime, he wants to convince her to testify.

Sophia (real name is Alexis Romera) was in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Trying to help someone in need places her life and body in danger. After getting kidnapped and sold, landing herself with the Widow Makers MC doesn't make them trustworthy. She wants her freedom and will do whatever it takes to get it.

Rebel and Sophia are forced to spend some time together where preconceived ideas have time to vanish.

I like both characters. The slow build-up of their attraction made the story more believable. As secondary characters go Cade Preston intrigues me.

My one complaint would be the abruptness of the ending to the first installment.

4/5 Fangs
