Anna and Charles are taking a trip to Arizona. Charles is going back to visit his human friend Joseph. He also knows his friend raises beautiful Arabic horses and he wants Anna to have one for her birthday.

Charles has been reluctant to visit Joseph because he's getting old and he doesn't know how to deal with loosing him. He also had to walk away from a relationship with Maggie, his wife. Charles knows it is time to go back and deal with his old demons.

Anna is happy to tag alone. She is surprised to realize Charles has kept this part of his life hidden but she is happy he's sharing it with her now.

When they get there, they are faced with a new evil Fae. Someone is kidnapping kids, leaving behind their fetch.  The FBI and police join their efforts to find the latest kidnapped victim. It is a race against time.

I love Anna and Charles together. Patricia Briggs's UF world is amazing.
Anna is calm and collected. She is still a strong heroine and the perfect Omega.
Charles can be scary but he is also dependable. Yes, he's a hitman but he can be tender and he can love deeply. Anna and Charles complement each other in every way. Their relationship is based on love and trust.

The way I feel about anyone kidnapping kids:

4.5/5 Fangs

I was so excited to be able to read this book. I am obsessed with the world and characters that Patricia Briggs has created. I am so happy that this book did not disappoint.

This book was basically CSI: Fae Hunting, and I loved it! Patricia Briggs is a wonderful author. The mystery was extremely interesting, and I loved trying to solve the mystery along with Anna and Charles. There was also some awesome action in the book. Anna and Charles are a dynamic duo that everyone should be afraid to mess with.

What made this book fantastic was the relationship between Anna and Charles. They have come a long way in their relationship, and now they completely trust and love each other. I think they are tied for my favorite book couple. They complete each other so perfectly. I adored any scene they had together. I also like how their romance didn't over power the story. Sure, the romance was there. However, it was never overwhelming, nor did it take away from the story.

I was obsessed with this story, and I am craving more Charles and Anna books. I think I would be heart broken if this was the last Charles and Anna book.

Overall, this story was great. It wasn't my absolute favorite book of the series, but I still really liked it a lot! The only reason I took 1/2 a fang away was because I could have done with a less conversations about horses. Other than that, I liked everything about this book.

Mrs. Briggs, you are amazing.
