#Nerd |
Rimmel "Smalls" Hudson is a smart girl from Florida. She is in college with a scholarship and she wants to be apply to veterinarian school. She is shy and has no friends. She uses no make up, baggy clothes and her hair is a mess.
“Underneath, he was a good cat. Loyal and loving. But no one ever bothered to look past his rough exterior, because in reality, looks meant more than everyone wanted to admit.”
When she's told by the dean to tutor a football player, she is not happy about it but she doesn't want to jeopardize her scholarship. She's definitely not prepared when she meets the star quarterback Romeo for the first time in the library. He's everything she is not. He's popular, hot, tall and did I say #hot? The longer they spend time together, the harder it is for Rimmel to fight her feelings for him. It doesn't help that Romeo is not what everyone believes him to be.
Roman "Romeo" Anderson likes his college life. He loves football and his future is the NFL. He works hard for the team but in order to improve his grades, he must accept Smalls help as his tutor. At the same time he is also trying to get into a sorority where the president is making it hard for him to enter. When he's told his next challenge involves Rimmel his feelings for her are making it very hard to continue.
“I was into her and it was creating some kind of war inside me. A war between the guy I was and the guy everyone wanted me to be. ”
This was a sweet story. Popular college quarterback falling in love with nerdy shy girl. And I loved every single second of it.
I love the build up of their attraction. I love that the boy falls hard for the smart girl.
As soon as I finished #Nerd, I started #Hater because I'm not done with these characters.
#haterswillhate. I'm not one of them, quite the opposite, #romancerules!
In regards to secondary characters Braeden is great to Rimmel and Romeo.
"You're the only one"
