"We all hold a beast inside. The only difference is what form it takes when freed."

Rain Ryland has never belonged anywhere, He’s used to people judging him for his rough background, his intimidating size, and now, his orphan status. He’s always been on the outside, looking in, and he’s fine with that. Until he moves to New Wurzburg and meets Friederike Burkhart.

Freddie isn’t like normal teen girls, though. And someone wants her dead for it. Freddie warns he’d better stay far away if he wants to stay alive, but Rain’s never been good at running from trouble. For the first time, Rain has something worth fighting for, worth living for. Worth dying for.

I was really craving an addiction paranormal romance recently, and I was so excited when I had the opportunity to read this book! Haven was an alluring, exciting, and romantic new YA novel!

The plot of this book was very interesting! I really liked the paranormal and mystery elements of this story! Both were quite addictive parts of the story. I became SO invested in the mystery plot of this book! However, I will admit that the book was slow at times. The was a lot of information to understand in a short amount of time, so it got a tad overwhelming. The romance in this book was a little cliche, but it was still full of swoons and EXTREMELY charming moments! I thought the author did a great job at creating romantic chemistry between the characters. I SHIPPED IT!!!!

The two main characters, Rain and Freddie, will complex and deep characters. I felt like the author really took her time fleshing out the characters and making them memorable. Freddie was such a strong and independent girl. I loved how feisty and stubborn she was! She had some understandable insecurities, but I loved how she tried to not let those insecurities bring her down. Rain was precious and SO SWOON WORTHY. He had a dark and troubled past, which made my heart hurt for him. Rain desperately wanted to fit in somewhere and feel loved. He was such a brave and kind-hearted guy, that I couldn't help but fall in love with him. There were a lot of side characters, which got confusing at times, but I liked a majority of the characters.

Overall, I enjoyed this new paranormal romance novel! If you are missing your Twilight addict days, then I would definitely recommend checking this book out!
