Maise O'Malley is a eighteen year old girl with abandonment issues. She uses sex with older men to forget and she leaves them before they can leave her.
One night at the carnival she meets this guy, Evan. They have a great night together.
Evan Wilke has a past. He is starting over but soon he realizes he is in trouble when he falls for a young girl. This young girl is also one of his high school students.


I wanted to like this book. I saw so many great reviews on facebook and goodreads.
I know I'm in the minority but I couldn't get over the age difference. I just couldn't connect with the characters.
It's weird because I didn't have a problem with Jane's Melody (age difference) and I didn't have a problem with Slammed (teacher/student relationship).
