Evan "Mase" Mason is an NHL hockey player for the Chicago Blackhawks. Getting home after a game, walking down his city's streets, he finds a badly beaten woman.  He takes her to the hospital and he stays the night, waiting to see if she survives it.
Ami Sutton has lost her family in a plane crash and she has moved to Chicago as a ballerina. When she wakes up in the hospital she is told Mase saved her.
Mase keep on coming back and when she is released he takes her to his home.
They fall for each other. But can they put their demons aside?

I loved Mase, he was awesome. Maybe I loved him because I love hockey and Chicago since I lived there for a few years. This is my first hockey book and I want to read the rest of the series.
