I am extremely sad that this series is over, but I was not sad with how this book turned out. This book was the perfect wrap up to all of the books, and I really adored this book. Samantha Young managed to create a book that beautifully tied in everything you could want from a contemporary romance. There was banter, chemistry, angst, family and friend relationships, and great characters. What I really loved about her characters was that they were all flawed, but they were still very lovable. 

The main character was Grace. She was extremely likable and relatable. She was sensible and smart. At first, Grace seemed like the complete opposite of the other main character, Logan. Grace started off as almost a stubborn stick in the mud. Logan started off as a typical ladies' man. However, overtime, they both grew as characters and become better people because of their relationship. 

“No man alive loves a woman as much as I love you. I never thought I would feel this way about anyone. I didn’t think it existed. Not for me.”

I had such a fun time reading the angry banter between Logan and Grace. They started off at each other's throats, but that slowly changed overtime. I thought Samantha did a great job developing their romance at a believable pace. Their romance was a slow burn, and every moment of it was delicious. *sigh* 

  

What I also liked about this romance was that Grace wasn't stupid about it. She didn't forgive Logan right away when he screwed up. He had to work for her forgiveness. I found it really sweet and refreshing to see Logan work for her forgiveness instead of Grace forgiving him immediately. 

This book had some plot lines that were not all about romance. There was some family angst in this book, and it made this book more emotional and real. I really enjoyed those plot lines in the book, because it helped to keep from this book ever getting boring. Sometimes I wanted the angst between Logan and Grace to be nipped in the butt, however, that angst did not ruin the book for me.

What I really enjoyed was the epilogue of this book. Samantha Young wrapped up this story so well, and she also snuck in a wonderful surprise for the other couples from the previous books. This book was an excellent way to end this series. Samantha definitely out did herself with this book!

Logan James MacLeod is starting his new life after being released from prison. He has a good job thanks to Branden and his nights are busy with different ladies. This makes his next-door neighbor really mad. 

Grace Farquhar is an editor that works from home. Since Logan moved next door to her, his sex life is making it impossible for her to sleep. She has tried to be nice but it doesn’t seem to work. Talking to him only makes it worse.

A unique antagonism begins between these two. 

Despite their differences, when a situation presents that makes Logan vulnerable, Grace steps to the plate to help him out. 

With this new truce, a friendship blossom but soon the attraction for each other is hard to dismiss.

I’m so sad Moonlight in Nightingale Way is the end of this series. Samantha Young created some of the most amazing characters. Back when I read On Dublin Street, I fell in love with it.  As soon as I finished it I hit the recommend to everyone link on Goodreads (never done it before or after Dublin). Now, years later, Logan and Grace were the perfect way to end it. Both characters were likable. Their banter was great. And Holy smokes! their chemistry hit it out of the park. I caught myself smiling many times. 

I love that we get glimpses of the rest of the lovable characters we’ve met through the rest of the series. Even better, at the end of the book, we get a tiny epilogue for each of our heroines. 

  

I love reading Samantha’s books. It doesn’t matter at what time I start her books, I’m unable to stop myself until I’m done with them.  Whatever she releases the next, sign me up for it.

Gosh, I love Quinn. He was funny, responsible, sexy and showed Amelia tenderness. I love his gift to her despite not sharing her tastes. He also likes coffee (won me over just right there) and he looks great in a pair of Riley jeans. 

Amelia was sweet. She was between a rock and a hard place. She was trying to do her best. I sympathize with her. 

The other two siblings are going to be fun to read.

“In fact, I think my definition of ‘everything’ is a lot more expansive than yours, Juice.” He smiled, his eyes so intensely blue they looked like the inside of a flame. “It means marriage, children, ’til death do us part . . . but it also means I’m going to give you so much love you’re going to feel like you’re drowning in it. I read the first book in this series, "Inbetween", a while ago and I remember really enjoying it. I actually never got around to reading the second book in this series, but I thought this book sounded really interesting. I went into this book not really remembering much from the first book, and it turned out that I was not lost at all while reading this book. I do think this book could be read as a stand alone if that is what people would want to do.

I found this book to be a really fun and quick read. I felt like there was never a dull moment in this book. I found the paranormal aspect of this book to be so interesting and addictive. Tara's writing in this book kept me hooked from the first page. I really hope that Tara continues to write books in this series, because I definitely want to see more of the world she created.

The romance in this book was about a bad boy and a good girl falling in love. That is my favorite kind of romance to read about! The romance was as adorable as I was hoping. Some of the scenes made my heart flutter because they were so precious. Even though the romance was cute, I thought it escalated way too quickly. This book had insta-love vibes. I wish the romance would have been developed more through out the book. The development just seemed unrealistic to me. When Gwen said she was in love with Easton, I was mainly confused. I didn't understand how she fell in love so quickly. I also didn't understand how quickly Easton fell in love with her. 

Other than the insta-love, I really enjoyed this book! Easton was extremely swoon worthy, Gwen was adorable, and the plot was addictive. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a young adult paranormal romance.

Dictatorship of the Dress has a special place on my favorites shelf. It was adorable, funny and has stuck with me, even months after reading it. Danica was part of the fun in that story, along with being Laney's voice of reason, so I sort of went into this one expecting it to be light and kind of silly. It was much more than that though. Dani had a depth, I didn’t originally give her credit for.

"Listen to that little voice inside your own head for once, will ya? W-W-D-D?" 

The night of her sister’s wedding, Dani meets Mick and they share a pretty unforgettable connection, but that doesn't stop him from disappearing.

Months after the wedding, in an attempt to forget him and find her place in the world, Dani joins a summer music festival as a masseuse for the artists. That’s how she gets wrapped up with, Nash Drama, the lead singer for one of the bands. There wasn’t much I liked about Nash. At times, I saw hints of a good guy hidden under that rock god ego, but they were few and very far between.

For some reason, Dani agrees to help out Nash and pose as his fiancé for his epic hometown return. A place he left behind ten years ago, full of regrets and a son he’s never even laid eyes on. Turns out his best friend, the cake baker extraordinaire, is the mystery man from her sister’s wedding - MICK!  

There’s a lot of history and a tangled web of heartache surrounding Nash’s group of friends and Dani finds herself caught in the middle. She’s a natural fixer and people pleaser, so of course she’s going to try and make things better, maybe even at the cost of what she really wants, or I should say who.

“Mick, you’re the only taste I’ve been craving.” 

The spark between Dani and Mick made me giddy. I will say, the romance wasn’t the most prevalent part of the story though, it read more like women’s fiction than contemporary romance. I thought Dani was a really likable character, but there were more than a few times, I was frustrated with her. I wanted her to let the whole sham go, everyone could see through it anyway, and just be honest with Mick. At one point, it was like, enough already, just tell him you want him! But, Mick was patient and so sweet, and it only made me fall for him even more.

“You should try frosting a cake with those moves.”
“I do. Every day. And I can’t wait to frost yours.” 

The cast of secondary characters was top notch. Bear pretty much stole the show with his serenade. I would love to read Bear and Angie's story. Nash and Quinn's reunion sort of happened in the background, so maybe this means, possibly, they might get a book? I’m not a huge Nash fan, but I’m sure the author can change that.

I enjoyed the story, but there were a few things that bothered me enough to mention. The whole Jax and Dex situation felt like an afterthought, like it was just thrown in. I would have liked for that to have been explored a little more, rather than just a quick chapter at the end. And how could Dani not be in New Hope with Laney and Noah?!?! Totally blew my mind that she would miss out on that day.

I thoroughly enjoy Jessica Topper’s writing. Her way with words, all the musical references throughout the story and the development of the characters, spoke to my inner book nerd and commanded my attention. Similar to cake, I enjoyed this until the very last crumb.

In search of a distraction, Danica joins a rock music festival. She becomes the masseuse of the famous singer Nash Drama. Nash needs her help. He wants her to play the part of his fiancée when he goes back home. 

Mick Spencer couldn't forget Dani. He has thought about her since the moment he left New Orleans. Watching her appear at his baking store the Night Kitchen is like a dream come true. Only to turn into a nightmare when he realizes she is engaged to his best friend. Mick can't understand why Dani is with Nash. He knows she felt the same attraction he did when they met and he needs to prove to her that they can be great together.

I had some issues with this book. It confused me at times. Too many past/present mixed into their story.

What I liked was the back story to Bear and Angie, and Nash and Quinn. Although, most of the time I didn't like Nash.  I didn't understand why Dani would sacrifice her life to help him when half of the time he was rude to her. 

I didn't like Mick at the beginning but he grew on me and he made me laugh out loud a couple of times.  By the end of the story I was happy to cheer for him.

Dani was not what I was expecting. Her back story with Jack I think came out of nowhere.

This book blew me away. I was terrified to read it since it was going to be so out of my comfort zone. I had so many preconceived ideas before I even started it. So glad I gave it a chance....

Vivienne is smart, independent, with determined goals in life. However, she feels ashamed of her fantasies. She revealed her darker desires to her ex-boyfriend and it ended their relationship. She was strong enough to realize therapy was going to help her and when we meet her she has had years of it. Vivienne's pain was tangible. So raw. There was no way I couldn't like her.

“Tonight, I actually am. I’m asking for it.”

I thought Jonah was the answer to her prayers. With him she felt safe and he never disappointed me. He relished her vulnerability and he always took care of her. He was sensitive to her needs and I'm talking about the ones outside their sexual relationship. And when we learn his secrets it only made me love him a little bit more.

“Even though I still wonder what kind of man Jonah is—even though the roots of his fantasy continue to puzzle and unnerve me—I am already bound to Jonah Marks.”

Can't wait to see how the story continues...

What I really liked about this book was the paranormal aspect. I thought the world of witchcraft that Lori created was so unique and addictive. I have never really read a book that had such an interesting witchcraft element to the book. The witchcraft in this book was my favorite part of the book. That aspect of the book created an extremely interesting mystery, and I was dying to unravel the truth.

I also enjoyed the characters. I thought all the characters were fun and charming. I don't necessary think they are my favorite book characters ever, but I did like them. The romance was a cute and passionate romance. Even though there were cute scenes, I thought the romance escalated too quickly and it felt like insta-love to me. I wish the romance would have been more developed through this book. It seemed like almost right after they met, they were having sex.

Even though the plot was extremely interesting, I found myself very bored at certain times throughout the book. There were times when I felt like I couldn't put the book down, and then there were times where I felt like I had to force myself to keep reading. I think this book has great potential, but I just didn't love it as much as I was hoping. The plot of the book was what keep me reading this book. I want to continue to learn more about the world and the history of witchcraft. For that reason, I definitely plan on continuing this series.
