Jessa has spent her life dreaming of other worlds and writing down stories more interesting than her own, until the day her favorite character, Finn, suddenly shows up and invites her out for coffee. After the requisite nervous breakdown, Jessa learns that she and Finn are Travelers, born with the ability to slide through reflections and dreams into alternate realities. But it’s not all steampunk pirates and fantasy lifestyles…Jessa is dying over and over again, in every reality, and Finn is determined that this time, he’s going to stop it… this Jessa is going to live.

Traveler was a quick and exciting read that had me dying to get my hands on the next book. I really have no idea what the author is going to do next with these characters, but I am very excited to figure it out!

The main character, Jessa, was very easy to relate to. The author did a great job at making most of Jessa's responses to things genuine and believable. There were times when she got a little annoying and slightly immature, but it was understandable considering everything that she went through. I am hoping to learn more about Jessa in the next book and have some more character development because I feel like we have only scratched the surface on her character. Overall, I liked her character and I thought she was a fun person to read about!

Finn was very mysterious and hard to figure out, but it was easy to see that he was caring and very sweet. He seemed to be keeping a lot of things from Jessa, which made it hard for me to fully understand what was going on with him. However, I understood that he went through A LOT, so it is reasonable that he didn't want to talk about EVERYTHING. I really want to know more about him, though, because I feel like I didn't get the chance to learn a lot about him and his personality.

The plot of this book was soooo interesting. I loved the world that the author created, and I never wanted to leave the world. I am super excited to learn more about the world and see what more it has to offer in the second book.

There is what I would consider a love triangle in this book, which I spotted from the very beginning of this book. However, it got more complicated that I originally predicted, which was interesting. I do firmly ship Finn and Jessa, and I don't see that changing....hopefully. I don't dislike the other love interest, but I just think Finn and Jessa make a better couple. I thought their romance was so sweet! I will admit, the initial meeting between Finn and Jessa did come off as weird and sort of creepy. I thought Jessa was a bit too accepting of Finn right away, but I eventually warmed up to Finn and his swoony ways just like Jessa did! ;)

Overall, I thought this was an exciting, fast-paced, and enthralling book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series because I can tell this series has a lot of potential to be fantastic.
