Ava is the daughter of Jackson, the Hell's Knights MC President. She is all grown up and she couldn't be happier surrounded by family and friends. This, of course, ends when she is kidnapped and hurt by someone trying to give her dad a message. What Ava experiences during those hours is something she will never forget. She was strong before it but after those days, she is broken. She is found by Lucas in an alley bruised and traumatized.
Lucas Black is a cop who was happily married until his family was no more. He has been looking for his wife for a while and the last clue he got has taken him down to the MC's doors. Lucas has been putting pressure on the MC to get more information from them. Finding Ava and learning she is the daughter of the MC's President was not in his plans. He tries to remain unaffected by Ava but he recognizes a broken soul and it calls to him. He won't let Ava destroy herself.
I'm a huge Bella Jewell fan and I was excited about getting this book and I was not disappointed. Bella has a way to make her MC worlds likable. To my surprise, she can make cops sexy too!!
Lucas was everything I wanted in a story like this. I found myself feeling terribly sad with what Ava had to go through. Thankfully, Lucas was there for her and when the time came to step up, he was there to confront whoever he needed too.
I can't wait for the next MC Sinners generation book.
