One King's Way by Samantha Young

Title: One King's Way
Author: Samantha Young
Series: On Dublin Street #6.5
Release Day: Nov 3rd

When he’s not working at the club, Craig Lanaghan looks out for his mother and little sisters. So when it comes to women, all he wants is a good time. But once Rain Alexander walks into his life, there’s no denying that this woman could be worth much more than a one-night stand….

Rain’s lifelong regret is having left her sister Darcy alone years ago with a guardian who turned out to be abusive. So when Darcy’s boyfriend publicly humiliates her in a cruel way, Rain’s overprotective instincts kick in and she follows him to Club 39—where she meets a guy who just might be her perfect match.

The chemistry between Rain and Craig is explosive, but Rain is out for revenge, and refuses to be sidetracked by flirtation. As things between them heat up, she’ll have to make a heartbreaking choice between giving in to the man of her dreams or putting her sister’s happiness first….

Craig has been part of this series since the beginning. From the first book we saw his flirty ways when he was around Joss and Jo. I loved his carefree and lovable attitude from the start and was so glad he finally met his match.

Craig has worked at Club 39 for years and not one woman has maintained his attention for long until Rain walks in. Her looks draw him in, with her pin-up girl style, but her personality is what really hooks him. She's strong, and independent, and sexy as hell! This one makes him question his past ways.

I loved Rain's personality! She was very strong yet at the same time only wanted unconditional love. I loved how sometimes she had no filter and would just say whatever it is that she needed to. She was so faithful to her sister to a fault, and having a two sisters myself I could completely relate to her. I also loved the way Craig was with his mom. You know you've found a good man when you see how loving he is with family and Craig was just that.

Craig and Rain fell hard, and fell fast! A sizzling and very well written novella. Absolutely perfect!

It’s always easy to enjoy Samantha Young’s work. I was excited to hear that Craig was getting his own novella. I had wanted to know more about him and I was finally able to get my wish.

Craig is the bartender at Club39. He worked with Jo and Joss. He is a womanizer and doesn’t do relationships. When Rain walks into the bar the first time, he wants to learn more about her but she leaves before he can interact with her. Next time, when she comes back he’s ready.

I liked that Rain was straight with him. She told him, she was a romantic and one night stands was not on the menu. Craig was the realistic one but in order to get the girl he had to have some romance in him.

I loved the way Craig was with his family. He was his mom’s support and he worried about her safety.

It was nice seeing the gang together one more time.

Cliffhanger: No
