Mind Magic by Eileen Wilks

Title: Mind Magic
Author: Eileen Wilks
Series: World of the Lupi #12
Release Day: Nov 3rd

FBI agent Lily Yu’s mind is a dangerous place to be in the latest Novel of the Lupi…

Thanks to the mindspeech lessons she’s receiving from the black dragon, Lily is temporarily benched from Unit Twelve—until her brain acclimates and the risk of total burnout passes. At least she has her new husband, lupi Rule Turner, to keep her occupied.

But when her mentor calls in a favor and sends Lily to a murder scene, she’s suddenly back on active status—despite the hallucinations she can’t keep at bay. With one touch, Lily knows the man was killed by magic, but her senses don’t warn her how far the conspiracy goes…

A shadowy force within the government wants to take Unit Twelve down, and they don’t mind killing to achieve their goal. With none of her usual resources, Lily is up against impossible odds–because with her mind in disarray, she can’t trust anything she sees.

Mind Magic centers mostly on Rule and Lily. The majority of the other characters are mentioned but don't make an appearance except for Ruben and some of the wolves from different clans.

The novel begins with Sam asking Lily to go to Ohio but without telling her why. Rule is not happy he can't go with her and reluctantly stays behind with Ruben in DC. It seems like the Lady approves of this separation without the mate bond suffering. Though, not for long. One by one each of them is getting targeted and framed for something they haven't done and then Lily goes missing. The Unit 12's future is in danger and so are their lives.

I was glad to get back to Rule and Lily. They make a great team and their relationship is only getting stronger. They trust each other and they fight together. I did miss Cullen and Cynna as well as Kai and Nathan.

There are a couple of new characters including Danny. She was a nice addition to the team. She was very smart and extremely helpful to Rule and Lily.

I also love the brownies. They were too cute.

Cliffhanger: No

4/5 Fangs
