Deep (Stage Dive #4) by Kylie Scott

Deep

For Lizzy Rollins, what happens in Vegas will grow up to call her mom. The night of her sister's wedding is a night to remember. Not only did her sister marry the man she loves, Lizzy also has the best night of her life with the famous sexy bass player of the band Stage Dive. Months later, she realizes she's pregnant and "Bean" won't stay a secret for too long.

Ben Nicholson's life is easy. He doesn't want or need complications. He likes to be unattached.
The first time he met Lizzy he wanted to know her but once he realized she was Anna's little sister, he knew he couldn't go there. He tried to avoid her. What started as texting soon became complicated.
Ben is not prepared to be a father but he also knows he wants to be part of the child's life.

Deep is another great book by Kylie Scott. I love Lizzy. She was straightforward with her feelings. She didn't play games or try to hurt Ben. She was very patient with him adjusting to the news. She was funny, sweet but could stand up for her and for Bean when she needed to. She was there to defend Ben despite him being a mountain of a man.
Ben is a great guy. Trying to do the right thing. He was confused and scared. He makes multiple mistakes but I don't think any of them were on purpose.
I love that the crowd was all there in this book. Mal still can make me laugh. Jimmy and Lena are awesome together. Ev and David are strong as a couple.
I wonder if Kylie is writing Vaughn's story. I think a guy like him needs his own story.

It is not a secret that I love the Stage Dive series, so I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book. I am so happy to say that this book lived up to my extremely high expectations! I am truly convinced that Kylie Scott can do no wrong.

The character in this book were fantastic. I really enjoyed the main character, Lizzy. She was always very straightforward about how she felt, which I felt like was really refreshing for a book. It was nice to read about a girl who wasn't trying to play hard to get. I also really liked Lizzy's sense of humor. She was really funny, but she was also very kind at the same time. Sure, she had some flaws (all characters do), but as a whole, I loved her character. When it comes to Ben, all I can say is that I want my own Ben. I definitely fell in love with him though out the book.

I was so excited to see more of the other couples from the previous books. I missed them a lot, so I am glad Kylie Scott made sure that the other couples were seen in this book.

Overall, Deep is a great book, and I cannot wait to see what Kylie Scott will write next.

This series has been a lot of fun to read, so now that the tour is over, I'm feeling pretty sad.  I'm just not ready to let go of the Stage Dive family yet, especially after Liz and Ben's story.  Maybe, if we all scream loud enough, we might get an encore?

Lizzy is Anne's little sister and Mal's new sister-in-law.  She's witty, often hilarious with her comebacks and not afraid to be herself. Or go after what she really wants, Ben. He's the big, manly, bearded, bass player for Stage Dive.  Did I mention he has a beard? I'm just a teeny, tiny bit obsessed with said beard.

"Takes a real man to grow a beard. You're just not there yet, Jim. Don't feel bad."

Ben isn't a relationship guy, he just wants to focus on his music and live a carefree life.  He's also been warned by Mal to stay away from Liz.  But, she doesn't make things easy for him.  The one night he does give in, there are consequences that neither of them expected, Bean.

"So I'd been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal."

There were so many things that I liked about Ben and Liz's story. I thought she was a breath of fresh air. It was nice not having an insecure heroine, but instead one that was determined to get her man.  Ben was quiet and different from the other Stage Dive guys, but there was something so manly about him that I couldn't get enough of. I loved that he made her feel tiny and always called her "sweetheart".

"You and Bean are mine, and I look after what's mine."

If you're a fan of Mal, he's really funny playing the protective brother-in-law. And of course, all being on tour, we get to see the other couples.  My only wish was that the book had been longer.  I wanted to see what happened after Bean's arrival.

From the moment Lizzy saw Ben she knew she wanted him.  Mal, Liz’s new brother-in-law, has different plans.  He made Ben promise not to touch his new sister.  Ben tries to keep his word, but he can’t resist Lex.

What stats as innocent text messages, ends in a pregnancy and some very angry band members.

I love the Stage Dive novels and DEEP did not disappoint.  I was laughing and crying throughout the book and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I loved that the band was on tour and all the couples were together.  We got to see small glimpses in each of their lives and visit some of our favorite characters.  Mal was such a funny “big” brother-in-law.  He was so protective and hilarious.
